Mike Simmons #1 NTSC

All it really took was a bit of clear cut evidence from Rene Elsaesser to show what most of us have suspected for a while now, that Mike Simmons deserves the number #1 NTSC spot, and #2 overall. His consistent PRing as of late only goes to reinforce this rank change. Congratulations Mike.

Bukrim-Whalls Race Heating Up/Batastini Back

Myles Bukrim and Jason Whalls are in the midst of an incredibly close race for the rights to the number #7 overall spot. Currently, Myles is holding off Jason with a 28-23-1 record, but Jason has been PRing like crazy as of late, including an impressive run to Legend B. This run of Whalls' has rearranged the top ten as well, so check that out too.

While he may not be officially out of retirement, I do know that Matt Batastini is playing kart again, and setting some sizzling times (sub 1'14 moomoo!!!). Welcome back to the loony bin Matt...

King A Race Lurches Sporadically/Makepeace to King B

Ben Miller snapped up the #20 spot in the world from Jon Kretschmer this week. Perhaps if Jon had spent 5 hours playing kart instead of 5 hours updating he would have been able to respond to that challenge ;)...No matter - soon Jon will be finished with school and ready to kick his Kart into high gear. We await word from Andrew Kent on how close he is getting to the coveted Legend rank.

In other King news, Craig Makepeace reached the King B rank this week after a flurry of PRs. Unfortunately for him, PRs from here on out come a lot farther and fewer between. Watch for him to join the King A race to Legend in the coming weeks.

4 New Members

Allow me to be the first to welcome the following new players into our community, along with their tentative rank placements:

Ryan Hutcherson - #62
Stuart Rogers - #65
Joakim Alderborn - #67
Yrvin Van Wijk - #89

If each of you could take a look at your placements with respect to the players around you and let me know if I've screwed up somehow, that would be great. I've done the best I can with eyeballing your placements, but if you see something I didn't, email me and let me know. Also let me know if your times and profiles look correct. Start setting PRs!!!

Impressive Elite Movement

Brandon Eberly, Kris Milo, and Dave Crawford continue to make improvements, each reaching closer to the important rank of King. Dave passed Patrick Wessels for the #41 spot, and Brandon and Milo jumped quite a number of spots for the #30 and #32 spots respectively.

Thanks For Your Patience

I appreciate everyone being patient with my busy schedule lately. Tonight was the first 5 hour block of time that I had free, so I decided that I owed it to everyone to completely update the lists, analyze all the shenanigans going on in the Legend ranks, and add four new profiles to the mix, among other minor touch-ups. Perhaps I'll figure out a way to make the process a little less time-consuming...But for now, I'll find a way to get it done.

I should warn everyone that I will be moving out of my room at school and driving back to California next week, so I will be completely unavailable for about four days (the time it takes to drive from IN to CA). When I get home I will be able to check my email, and I will respond to everything then, and hopefully get an update finished, as I'm sure there will be new stuff to report on.

I would also like to thank those of you that have stuck thru me through this whole Iacopo mess. I realize that I can't please everyone all the time, but I do try my best to do what I think is best for the community. So I appreciate those of you that have stood by me these past weeks, and I look for this to all blow over shortly. Till next update...

AcmeCity Server Crashes Can't Stop Us

As many of you have probably noticed, I haven't updated in a while. Believe me, this was not by choice. AcmeCity had some technical problems, and those of us that do the updates had no way to load newly updated pages to the server. However, Michael Liem found a way to access the server through FTP, and we are again in business...Or not - I wish I got paid for this :)

Hopefully this disruption of service won't happen again. This is the second time something like this has interrupted our day to day activities, with egroups going down just over two weeks ago. Thankfully that service is now restored, giving Brandon Eberly ample opportunity to notify the community of his ridiculous number of PRs!

12 Active Legends

A quick perusal of the Player's List Ladder shows that there are currently 12 active legends. Jonathan Bernier and Myles Bukrim are back in action after an extended leave of absence. Also, Chris Hames received the POW award for the 2nd week of April for his secret sprint to Legend D. Lets hope he notifies the community of any further advances AS he makes them, not after the fact . :)

Sub-King Karters Making Big Advances

This week, Brandon Eberly moved from 51 to 34, a massive jump that will likely earn him POW honors for the third week of April. Dave Crawford is also starting to figure things out, as he is slowly but surely creeping up the charts. This week he places in at #42, but will no doubt continue to climb the charts in the coming weeks.

3 King A Players race to Legend

The remaining King B karters on the ladder, Jon Kretschmer and Ben Miller, both acheived King A this week, and are racing to catch Andrew Kent, who continues to maintain a .3 LKR advantage over the both of them. Miller and Kretschmer are poised to surpass Iacopo Sorce soon, and, all going well, will likely continue their heated battle into the lower Legend ranks.

Rene Updates!

I would venture to say that most of us look forward to Rene's updates more than they do mine - After all, his charts show everyone EXACTLY where they are, track by track, relative to everyone else. Check out the update at http://www.angelfire.com/pq/REX/mk64time.html.

Greg Ihnatenko 52/52 Legend!

Only a week or so after Jason Whalls became the first to acheive 52/52 on all SC and Non-SC tracks, Greg Ihnatenko became the second player in known Kart history to reach 52/52. The time that put him over the top was a 1'14"89 on MMF. Congratulations Greg!

Rene Asks for Help

To facilitate quicker updates for his top 25 boards, Rene Elsaesser asks everyone to download a copy of the Excel spreadsheet he uses to keep track of everyone's times. The idea is to download the file, enter your times, and email it to Rene so he can update more quickly and efficiently.

It also appears Rene has returned, albeit slightly, to the world of competative kart. He has submitted a time of 3'07"70 (2'36"42), not bad for a sub-elite karter taking untold amounts of time off. Lets hope he continues to play.

New DEX Files Added

Courtesy of Kris Milo, we now have a few non-legend times in the DEX database, a KD and FS. If you have a DEX drive and are of sub-King level, check these out to help you race faster.

Many Players Advance in Rank

The race in the King ranks is getting really interesting, as both Jason Enright and Craig Makepeace have reached the rank of King C. Their LKRs are nearly identical, and both players are PRing like crazy. Also joining the mix once again is Nathan Stinson, back from a short respite from the world of competative kart. This is a great race to watch.

I'll step out of third person for a second to comment on my own playing since I almost never do. I'm so close to King A it hurts, and if I didn't have to update tonight, I might have gotten there by now! :) Ben Miller is in my sights, and after his stunning PRs this week, Andrew Kent is hot on my trail, so I have a lot of work to do to maintain my #20 spot in the world.

Outside of the King race, Dave Crawford made the all-important leap from "Others" to "Elite" this week, passing Alfred Popp and Mike Couch, the two players that non-elite players inevitably aim for when trying to break into the elite ranks. Congrats.

A player to watch in the coming weeks and months, should he maintain his current pace, is Brandon Eberly. After receiving some preliminary strategy info from a few top players, he completely shattered a few of his previous PRs. I can't wait to see what this guy is capable of in the future.

Also, Louis Paquin continues to submit new times. His last efforts include some impressive times on BB, CM and MR.

A Small Update

This could hardly be considered an update. I've done a few house-cleaning chores around the site. The "Click Here to Join" section of the site for new players was cleaned up a bit. Some of the outdated links were re-assigned so they link to where they are supposed to, and I've made it so new submissions go to me instead of Kevin.

POW for the first week of April was assigned, so go check that out. Lastly, Dave Crawford finished updating the total times page. Go there to check out the completely updated times. Anyone with concerns should email either me or Dave.

Lastly, welcome to Brandon Eberly, the newest member of our community. He has entered the ranks at #50, not too shabby for a new-comer. I expect him to shoot up the charts once he learns the correct strategies.

I have one more week of intense schoolwork, and then I should be able to get to rearranging the site to how Jason Whalls and I think it should be - Including, but not limited to, a complete rework of the links on the front page, different look, etc. Stay tuned...

Ben Miller Reaches King A

Ben Miller has reached the rank of King A, giving Chris Hames a run for his money. Not only that, Ben also set a DKJP SC PAL WR (How is that for a string of acronyms?), with a 28"65* (23"88). Congratulations! Keep up the good work. I expect another legend to join the ranks very soon.

Old Players Submit New Times

Both Jason Enright and Louis Paquin have returned from extended absences from the competative Kart world. With his fantastic new times, Jason moves up to King D, just squeaking by a fast paced Craig Makepeace. Louis still has some work to do, as his new times haven't moved him up the ladder. However, I'm sure we will see new times from him soon, as the times he submitted after his retirement were better than the ones he had over two years ago. Nathan Stinson is also reappearing on the scene after a brief respite from the world of Kart. Keep an eye on these three newly active players.

Videos/LKRC Available on Egroups

Thanks to a great service provided by Kris Milo, we all can view some of the best in the world perform their best stuff. Among other videos, check out Kevin Booth's version of DKJP SC, and Matt Batastini's awesome KTB 1shroomer. I've also uploaded a blank version of the Legend King Rank Calculator developed by Rene Elsaesser. These files can be accessed in the "Files" section of the "MarioKart64" group at http://www.egroups.com. If you are not a member of the egroups message board for kart players, feel free to join our community!

Dave Crawford to Take Over Total Times Page

I've asked Dave Crawford to begin work on updating the Total Times page. I am sure he will provide accurate and timely updates. Please address your total time updates to Dave.

Jason Whalls Hits 52/52 Legend Times!

Here is some news for the record books! Jason Whalls has become the first player to our knowledge to acheive the legend rank in all 52 SC and Non-SC times.

From Jason's time trial diary: "WS - NonSC - Yoshi - 3'43"63! Dark Red is GONE! 52/52 LEGEND TIMES!!!!!!!!!! Am I the first person in history to do it? Unless Simmons, Ihnatenko, Launspach, or Bukrim got it before 5:04PM Eastern time on April 3, yes. =) If one of them did, it's still a huge accomplishment."

Egroups Still Being Dumb

If you haven't been able to get into the Egroups message board, you're not alone. Apparently they are having the infamous "technical difficulties," which should be fixed soon. For the time being, if you have a particular accomplishment you would like to share with everyone, The Message Board is the best place to send your news.

Craig Makepeace Reaches King D

A flurry of recent PRs has propelled Craig Makepeace to King D, soaring past Nathan Stinson for the #23 spot on the ladder. If that weren't enough, get this: Craig was a King F for *2* days. Two. Absolutely fantastic work Craig, keep it up.

Mike Simmons Steals Ben Miller's MMF WR

Regaining yet another WR, Mike Simmons has surpassed Ben Miller'sprevious WR time of 23"83 with his own time of 23"77*.

Standards Link Updated

Thanks to Dave Crawford, checking standards is a WHOLE lot easier. Click here to see the new layout. As the lower standards are written, they will be added to this page.

Booth Tapes Mailed

Kevin Booth's tapes were mailed last week, so if you are expecting a tape from him, you should be receiving it soon. I've had a chance to catch the first few minutes of it, and I have to say that I am very impressed with his rendition of TT 3lap! Thanks Kevin!

That's All For Now

A quick word from myself - Thanks to everyone who gives me help on a day to day basis, like Matt Batastini, Mike Simmons, Sami Cetin, Kevin Booth, Dave Crawford, Michael Liem, Jason Whalls, Rex, Milo and others that contribute their input to make this the best Kart site on the web. Also, I'm talking with Whalls on how to make the website more user friendly. Keep your eyes peeled for changes in the near future.

Lastly, thanks for being patient with the updates. My time is running very short now that the end of the semester is coming. I still plan on at least an update every week, so that won't change - Just don't think that I'm not trying my hardest if things aren't turning over as quick as they did when I first started! I'm still quicker than KB... ;);)

Thanks everyone, and keep setting those PRs.

Louis-Philippe Sabbagh To Legend C, Passes Liem

Louis-Philippe Sabbagh attained the ranking of Legend C this week, passing Michael Liem for the #12 spot. LPS has been setting some great times lately (33"14 KD 1lap!) and hopes to close the gap between himself and Sami Cetin in the coming weeks.

Craig Makepeace Blasts Through King Barrier

With stunning momentum, Craig Makepeace smashed Neil Mardsen's days-as-an-elite-karter by 5 days, making his run from Elite F to King F in only 28 days. Craig is almost halfway to King D, as his most recently updated LKR stands at 9.684. He also acheived his first Legend time at Royal, hitting a 47"88 (57"45) fast lap. In the coming weeks, I expect him to join the pack of karters chasing Chris Hames to Legend. Keep up the great work Craig.

Sami Cetin Considers Changes to Elite Standard - Plans Addition of Master and Pro Standards

Due to uneven standards at the Elite level, Sami Cetin changed the Elite Standards to conform more closely to the gradiated differences in the Legend and King levels. However, after much objection from the Elite Kart community, as well as other higher level players, he has decided to return the official standards to the old Elite rankings. The net result of the flurry of activity to date is no change, since the Elite standards are now back to their former marks. Sami plans to add standards slower than the Elite level, to accomodate slower Kart fanatics. There is no official word when these will be completed, or in what way they will manifest themselves. Stay tuned...

Iacopo Announces His Retirement

Iacopo Sorce has officially retired from competitive Mario Kart 64. As with all retired Karters, he will always be a member of our community and more than welcome to submit times again, should he feel the competitive juices start to flow again. Good luck!

Launspach Refuses to Validate - Previous Profile Reinstated

Andy Launspach has refused to validate his times. As the integrity of the information presented on this site is of the utmost importance, I have no choice but to reinstate his previous profile. This move returns Steven Zwartjes to the champion spot on the ladder, Brian Gallo to the #1 NTSC spot, and allows Matt Batastini into the NTSC's top 10.

TwinGalaxies Release of Scores Inching Closer - Big Events for Kart Planned

Walter Day, the editor of Twin Galaxies' Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records has provided us with the following information. "We are only four weeks away from the big moment when we unveil the new web site with all the N64. Great stuff is coming." High scores from this page (as well as Rex's and Foo's sites) will be included in that book.

Also under planning stages is an international tournament, with prize money, backed by TwinGalaxies. This is still in the preliminary stages, but word has it that this may become a reality in the not too distant future. Keep checking back for more updates as this situation unfolds.

Newbie Standards to be Added

I have received word from Sami Cetin that Newbie standards will be added to the comprehensive list of Legend/King/Elite Standards already in place. An estimated time to completion of this project has not been set. Keep checking back for more details.

Kretschmer Reaches King B

Various Small Updates

Hello again - Just a quick note to mention that I organized and chronologically sequenced the archived news so that it is clearer and more legible. I also removed non-operational links in the "Other Kart Sites" page. You may notice that the left hand column is a bit more organized. I've shuffled things around a bit, as the organization and placement of the previous version seemed somewhat arbitrary.

Not bad for less than a week's experience with HTML... ;)

Kevin's Letter to the Community

Hello Top Officials of the community. It has been a pleasure to work for you and the whole kart community from past to present. As you know, I've sorta came into a situation that I was not fully armed to handle in an appropriate manner.

As you know, Andy Launspach has refused to prove his times, and has shown great displeasure in the way he has been looked at. As far as what everyone thinks about that, or how he thinks about what you think, there is a clear-cut action that must be taken.

Unfortunitely, due to conflict of interest, I am afraid I feel I am not able to make an unbiased decision in this case, and cause of this situation, I feel I am no longer able to make the day-to-day decisions that are required of me as the recognized person in charge around here. For this reason, I feel it is appropriate for me as possibly my last official action to demote myself from Kart Historian to Jr. Advisor.

I know you have alot of questions, and the answer is that I have been training a replacement for me. After chatting with alot of possible canadates, the only one that felt confident that they can bring us to the next level was Kart 64 Player, Jon Kretschmer. Please give him the same respect you have given me since the beginning. Once fully trained, he will be working with you all to take kart to the great things ahead.

So am I retired from kart? Nope! Am I totally out of the picture... NOPE! Do I still plan to do anything for kart... YES! I'm continuing talks with Walter Day, and perhaps when it is all said and done, we will all get the recognition we deserve. Perhaps this might be the final legacy I can leave you all with, if in fact, I don't return. Most likely, at the end of Jon's Tenure, he will then appoint me back at the helm, but only if that is the most appropriate action.

I know alot of you really think you can't do it without me. What you don't know is that without all of you, It couldn't have been done in the first place, and it is the same today. Our union has been very strong and at the face of about every event of diversity possible. Please do not let my step down affect your decision to go on as you have previously. Know that perhaps now that I am not at the helm, this may even bring yet even more oppurtunities for action, and now that I am just a player for the most part, I am finally free to be an individual rather than a body.

So what is my status now... Well, As said before, the reason I stepped down was fueled by my failure to negotiate with Andy, and I know there will be no way I can work out a sizable deal at the helm, so that has lead to my decision to call it quits. Yes, I must say I've been tempted to do this on occasion, and I talked about that in a news update about how as a player it was very hard to be at the helm, and be unbiased. I felt cause of this, if I ever had to decrown a champion, I would be finished, and well If I stayed in, I feared I'd have to. Teamed up with the possible workings with Twin Galaxies, this was too much for me to bear. I was no longer an able member of the community.

In final, as of this letter, and until I feel fit, I will be standing in open protest as a player and not as a community leader. That means concider any current achievements that I set after this email null and void and unworthy of submission for the purpose of Kart 64 Players, including all subsidiaries, but excluding Sami Cetin's SMK page and Twin Galaxies. Reasons stated: Failure To in a timely manner to release times achieved and the fair exchange of strategies. No don't say Andy, cause guess what folks... All the top players have done it ever since Bernier lost his championship, and I have not been too happy about this. Ok, It's one thing to say you don't wanna release strats and all. However, from my experience is that I'll be willing to tell you what I have for strats, and they will ask for them, and then use them against me, and later not share what they have found.

So I remind you again, AS A PLAYER, I no longer will submit my times, or tell you my strats. The tapes you get in the mail will be the final bits of help I issue as a patron to Kart 64 Players. It is too hard to be fair to all, especially when I don't get the same universal treatment back to the community, so as a Player and as I should have been honest about before when I helped Gallo out, I will just simply give out my strats or my times if I feel like it. I guess if you have a problem with that, I guess your out of luck.

I guess since I told Steven Zwartjes to (censored) in a public chat, I guess I need to appoligize as in individual for saying that in front of everyone. That was totally out of line for a member of this community to do that. As you can tell about the stuff above, all these self-rationalized side-deals I've been encountering has just been getting to me. As a community leader, I sucommed to them, and now that I have stepped down, I refuse to get involved in this anymore...

Since Rene talked me into it, I shall release my last PR that I will release publically. From this day on, I will write up a journal, and keep track of all the PRS I set, so when the day comes that I might become public again, and drop my open protest, I will have all needed info, and whatever is needed.

Jon Kretschmer's Response

Hello everyone. For those of you who don't know me or have not talked with me over AOL IM, allow me to introduce myself. My name, of course, is Jon Kretschmer. I am a 3rd year music major at Indiana University (trumpet performance), and I started playing kart about a year ago. My roommate can testify to the fact that I take Kart as seriously as anyone. I've woken him up from MANY a nap with the charming 'FAAAAAWWK' after taking a drink on Banshee, or running into a snowman on the third lap of a sweet Frappe run. Suffice to say, I love Kart, and am happy to have the opportunity to further its growth and development.

That being said, I am not quite sure how I got thrust into this position of leadership. During an online chat with some of (whom I consider to be) the heavies of the kart community, Kevin expressed his discontent with the "current situation," and mentioned a desire to take a break. I suggested that I might be a suitable candidate to take over the analysis and daily maintainance work. He didn't quite take me seriously at first, and to tell you the truth, I didn't take myself seriously either. But after a few extensive conversations we decided that it would be in everyone's best interest if I gave this leadership role the good ole' college try.

Some of you may wonder what qualifications I have to lead this site when I have only been a member for 4-5 months. I guess all I can say is that I'm the only one crazy enough to take on the workload. And besides, I don't consider myself any more of a leader than anyone else on the site. I'm just another fanatic trying to play kart to the best of my ability, and one who is willing to put in a little effort to encourage the spread of thoughts and ideas regarding times, strategies, and other Kart-related information. As for my own karting abilities, I know I am not the best, but I am working hard to break into the legend ranks. Being a King C provides me little leverage regarding karting issues. I will leave the technicalities to those more experienced with setting blistering times. However, I will try to be fair when my judgement is needed, and I welcome input from any karter as to my performance as the historian, or whatever the heck Kevin wants to call me :).

As for my response to the stance Kevin Booth has taken - While I have the utmost respect for Kevin as a player and an individual, I do not agree with his refusal to share strategies or to submit times. Although these decisions are his to make, I do not believe in "eye for eye" justice, and his refusal to change the pattern of selfishness that he points out just perpetuates the problem.

Regarding Andy Launspach's unsubstantiated times - Although I have not been around from the beginning of Kart-time, so to speak, I am under the impression that there have been MANY instances of people claiming times for which they were unable to provide proof. Andy's submissions rocked our little world because they seem impossible. It should be noted that the greatest acheivements are ALWAYS considered impossible initially. Therefore, as an enthusiastic karter, I will give him the benefit of the doubt, because I believe that if his times are in fact real, we would be in grave error to assume that his times are fictitious. I will speak with Andy myself, and attempt to secure validation as soon as possible. I also plan to aquire validation from all WR holders, in some fashion or another, during my stay as Historian. I believe everyone with even the remote possibility of setting a WR should have some way to verify any groundbreaking times ready each time that person plays kart. That way, we can put these petty quarrels to rest, and concentrate on bettering our abilities.

Now, on with what is really important...This week's news!

Hames reaches King A - Followed Closely By Others

Congratulations are in order for Chris Hames, whose LKR now stands at 5.953. He was unable to break into the highest King rank for longer than I KNOW he expected, but as always, perserverance pays off. Well done Chris. Your advance came just in time too, because Andrew Kent, Ben Miller, and I (to a lesser extent :) are RIGHT on your heels. Andrew has been setting some absolutely fantastic times, and Ben is keeping pace right behind him. This race in the King B-A territory will be exciting to watch in the coming weeks. This competition is the reason Kart is FAR from dying!

Legends Continue to Push the Envelope

Steven Zwartjes leads this chunck of news with his stunning BC WR of 1'51"62*. Mike Simmons, Greg Ihnatenko, Sami Cetin, Michael Liem, and Louis-Philippe Sabbagh continue to set an example for non legends to follow. Even at their high level, they continue to push for more. I will keep a close eye for any position changes in the coming weeks and months.

Terrific Advances in Sub-King Categories

After some arm-pulling, Kris Milo convinced me that he deserves the #33 ranking. This is a terrific move of four to five spots, and I look for increased jumps in the near future. King is within your sights!

Another karter SERIOUSLY clawing his way up into the king ranks is Craig Makepeace. At well timed intervals since Feb. 27th, he has been reporting king times. He is also fully elite, with 32/32 better than the most important stepping stone to rising in the ranks. Good luck Craig.

Andrew Hewlett is also making a name for himself in the sub-elite catagories. Keep working hard, and never give up! You will be surprised how close those elite times really are from your current level.

Dave Crawford continues to plug away at the Pro level. I believe he will be a player to watch in the coming months, as he has shown in March already that he is capable of setting some decent PRs. Keep working at it!

-In The Snail Mail-

Ok, this update will only focus on one of many big events to come. Since I don't got a scanner, I'll just type up what is said in the letter below that I got in the mail. Myself/Sorce has been in contact with Walter Day. He is the one that edited Twin Galaxies Official Video Games & Pinball Book Of World Records. You can learn more about it at http://www.twingalaxies.com. This book was released in 1997, and it retails at $20. Anyhow, he saw my site and this is what he sent to me.

Dear Kevin,

First of all, I like your web site very much. We should establish links between our two pages in the near future.

As the official scorekeeper for the entire world of video game & pinball playing, we we want to pioneer positive events the promote the video game industry. As you can see from the enclosed book of records, we focus on high scores and go to great lengths to crown the best players.

With your permission, we would like to put all the scores from your scoreboard, (and Iacopo's too) in our soon-to-be-released database and also put all the scores in the next edition of Twin Galaxies' Official Video Game & Pinball Book Of World Records.

Since you, apparantly, seem to recognition legitimate high scores when you see them, we are willing to lend credence to your role as an official Mario Kart referee and would like to put an acknowledement in the 2nd edition of the book thanking you for any content that we gain from you. This is with your approval, of course. By the way, are there even more high-scoreboards that we don't know about yet??

Furthermore, when our new web site goes online, we are going to start offering prize monies to the highest scores on many different titles. Maybe you could be one of our referees when we reach that point??

(omitted 6 words) and we'll discuss all the wonderful possibilities. Again, congratulations on doing a great job.

Sincerely,

-5 Minutes before work, gotta hurry-

Well stop the presses, cause Steven Zwartjes has just sent in his progress from 3/7/00 in holland over the weekend. Andy's quest for 32/32 is once again ran into a roadblock. Andy has lost 3 to steven and 1 to gallo as of late, and Steven Zwartjes set 5 new WRs and a big pal WR by going sub 3 on Toad's Turnpike 3lap!

Dave crawford nets 2 PRs, which one includes an almost king quality run at MMF that just misses going under the big 25 mark.

-Just a small update-

Well since everyone has been sorta been busy in school/work/whatever, I decided to just do a small dusting to catch the site up. I did the normal ruitine of updating Andy's Latest stuff, along with correcting info on my profile too. The Phoney WR and pointage is up to date along with most of the players list and an update to a page unnamed at this time.

-Summarized Player Progress-

It's March Madness, and this doesn't just mean for College. Seeems alot of great karting has been going on by the australian bunch and of course from #1 Seed Launspach. Many key performances from some others that are less recognized for WRs or mass PRs but reaching milestones as I can say with Michael Liems joining of the 32/32 Legend Club in Non-sc driving. I myself am just a YV 3lap improvement from upping the pot by offering 32/32 Legend D or Greater Non-sc Times. Still good PR days have been made by players like Greg Ihnatenko, Sami Cetin, Kris Milo, and recent SC hitter Dave Crawford as well to list a few players.

-Update Delays-

As far as updates, I've been slacking as of late cause of the normal reasons... Work, Games, Chatting, Laziness... yep, the usual. Also for about a week, I will be supporting my old high school team up incorvallis for the state tourney , so I'll be adding more hours away from the computer. Before this, I was trying a new N64 Game by the name of Ridge Racer 64. It had it's good points, and alot of good reviews, however I found it just barely into the above average section. I didn't make it to the end of the game, probably cause my inability to master some of the techniques, but it seemed I was pretty close to the end. So no scores or track reports for Iacopo unfortunitely... As you can see, been concentrating on other things.

-Online Tourney Announcement-

As far as the online tourney, it might be time to start one very soon. As far as a Kart 64 Players backed tourney, I would like for the top 4 seeds to all be able to pledge intent to show up on a given day or days before I'll be putting much effort forward. However, I have discussed plans for at least an impromptu one to happen this weekend or perhaps next weekend depending on interest. Please email myself or Michael Liem if you want one to happen this week.

-Other Announcements-

I still have alot of possible suprises, and oppurtunities for later, but til I can see where these might go, I'll just be exploring the possiblities. Last time I got all excited about a possible big this and that, I found that there was the usual problems, so til I know for sure, well keep it at this.

-DEX UPDATE-

Lastly, I have 2 additions to my library. A copy of Mike Simmons stuff that reminded me of stuff that I forgot stratwise from the September meeting and beyond. Also, a loop example and a few extra strats. I also have received a dexdrive from Jason Whalls, so I guess there is a few reasons for me to keep active somewhat for now in kart. I really think if you can find a dexdrive somewhere, especially those that use ghosts or could help others should pick up one while you still can!

-Launspach in with MORE WRS!-

Yep, Andy had an all star day on the first, and he wasn't too happy about losing POW last week, so he's out for the kill. He set a total of 3 BIGTIME WRS which took one from steven, and took Matt Horwitz's final world record. He also hit the loop 3 times, and was able to get YV SC down a bit more.

-Booth works on Finishing Tape-

In an effort to finally get that tape finished, I set 2 PRs yesterday. I was only able to tape the MR one, cause I hit a penguin on the SL one, and since then was getting alot of low 30's, but no PRs. Plus I suck at racing SL without a ghost. Anyhow, I shall list what my tape is missing below. I might work on some Rainbow Freestyle and YV SC lap pot shots, but unless I hear back from you, I think that I will start dubbing copies off on the double! I got 12 fresh tapes of good quality, and they are just waiting to be dubbed!

LR SC lap (my time is .02 slower on the tape)
TT SC 3lap (my time is .04 slower on the tape)
FS SC 3lap (my time is .27 slower on the tape)
FS SC lap (my time is .01 slower on the tape)
CM SC 3lap (I do got a one shroom example of 22"52 though)
WS SC 3lap (NOTHING HERE)
SL lap (NOTHING HERE)
Royal 3lap SC (egads, I hate this SC to tape)
Royal SC lap (ok, I got how the TG is done, and i got the finishing part of the 32"68, but not the whole race of PR)
DK 3lap (my time is .99 slower on the tape)
DK lap (my time is .27 slower on the tape)
DK SC 3lap (my time is 1.01 slower on the tape)
DK SC lap (my time is .26 slower on the tape)
YV SC 3lap (2/3 recorded with 9"33,9"40,missed and some 9"30's)
YV SC lap (NOTHING HERE)
BB lap (my time is .04 slower than on the tape)
Rainbow Road Entirely (NOTHING)

Please let me know if any of this is unsatisfactory for any of you ASAP!!!!!!!

-Liem's 2 PRS-

Sorry Liem, I forgot you last update, but I remembered you this time. Michael got a near Legend time on TT lap, and almost broke into the 1'54s for DK 3lap! Michael is showing some good potential on DK, but sub 38 laps are still hard for him at this time.

-Craig continues, but this time with KING TIMES-

He is definitely on pace to reach KING faster than neil marsden did, cause he is getting an average of a couple king times a day. he will be working on getting Kalimari Desert to king level next. He was able to take SL and CM laps to king yesterday. I can remember beating both those standards for the WR back in the height of the feared 4 era, so some great times indeed for a new elite!

-Crawford Continues SCs-

Dave has been working on the FS one and the YV one as of late, and has been able to net a few more Elite times, as he has been getting the hang of the SCs. He's even getting close to hitting YV 3/3! This is a feat most karters have not done too often, so we wish him the best of luck with that.

-RACE OUR BEST GHOSTS?-

Yep, you heard right. Very soon, I will have my ghosts up at the site in zip format, which will unzip into .n64 format, so if you have a dex drive, you can race against my ghosts! I am sure you'd all love to race my LR and Turnpike ghosts! If you want more information on the dex drive, consult the links on the left side of the page near the top.

-CRAIG MAKEPEACE ON FIRE -

That about says it! Craig Makepeace has been hot during this period. He has not stopped after he reached elite either... Now he has almost all his times of elite quality and 3 king times to boast about. This is some of the most amazing play I've seen in months, that is all I can say! Craig is gonna fly up this ladder like noone business at this pace. My challenge to CRAIG... Beat Neil Marsdens record of Elite to King in 33 Days!

-Launspach Reveals SC Times-

Yes, you heard right, Andy is doing Scs! Well Whalls, it appears he does hate SCs as much as it appears, cause he was able to take Simmmons final 3 WRs and one of Gregs latest efforts to score himself 4 new WRs and a sub 0 LKR which makes him 1 of 3 players to accomplish LKR GOD. He also set a new WR on CM Non-sc lap by .02 and gets a strong 2nd place time on TT lap. It would have been a WR if Steven would not have improved that lap.

-Zwartjes Scores 6 PAL WRs (2 overall)-

Right now, about anything PAL is a guarranteed WR, but he set some great times. He is now a strong 2nd place on many boards, like MR 3lap and Royal Lap. He also set great times on KD and MR lap. Finally, he set WRs on TT lap and KTB lap as reported on last update. A great saturday for Steven indeed as he tries to reach yet more goals he has set for himself.

-Booth Beats first Launspach Time-

Well you can say he got tired of getting his times beat. He went to FS and blew a few good runs, but with an ok 2nd lap and Penevlike first and 3rd laps, he beat Andys time by almost a tenth! He just missed the Legend B cutoff, however, it's always nice to beat a time that hasn't been smashed up in a long time.

-Ihnatenko Crushes Old MR 3lap PR-

It appears to be the trend lately to go sub 1'15, then later on smash your time down to a fast standard. Greg as cotinued the trend with his 1'14"70s 3lap, which like many passes alot of Karters!

-Milo also has 3 King Times-

It's kinda funny how coincidences around here are. First off, it seems like Andys WRs are like only days apart from when Simmons had his hits, and also just before Craig gets 3 king times, Milo does as well. Kris Milo hit a sub 27 KTB lap to achieve this feat.

-Crawford Goes SC-

Dave Crawford set 8 new times for the shortcut boards. Normally not one to want to try SCs, but this seemed like a good day to do so. He even hit an Elite time in the bunch of SC submissions with a FS SC lap time of 5"53.

-Whalls is gonna kill me =(-

Well this update I was gonna link a new page of his creation, but I closed his window without copying the link . Soon, as you may know, I will be getting a dex drive, and so you all will be able to race my ghosts and vis versa if you get a dex drive too. We are gonna have a page for the dex drive stuff very soon, that is as soon as I get that link again =(

-Wow... GO Australia! -

I must say, some real big things are going down under! First of all, 2 out of 3 of the individuals just recently made the F level in a big way respectively for the King and Elite section, and the final one has set his first system WR in his career! First we go to Andrew Kent, which picked up his first PAL with alot of amazing times recently that has sent him flying up to king as fast as players in the past like Nathan Stinson and Neil Marsden. Next might be the winner for the smallest POW week of the year, Craig Makepeace. He has sorta hit all of us, before we knew what was going on, and now he is ELITE!!! Ben Miller has been trying to catch up to the last few Kings, and with the help of Steven's Tape, he is now capable of getting both WRs on Moo Moo Farm! He already beat Steven's PAL record on the fastlap.

-Zwartjes with WR -

Well, Andy loses another record on KTB with Steven's New time. He didn't reach his goal of sub 26, but he did put a decent gap between himself and Andy if you can call .06 that.

-Ihnatenko VERY close to Booth-

With all the action at Rainbow, and the small but very powerful .01 tie breaker on KTB lap, he now is ahead of Booth for the first time in his career, but still trails 25-27 in matchups. With another win in matchups, there is a VERY good possibility that he will take over #6 in the world.

-Yes, there are other more not so DRASTIC climbs-

Finally, I was able to do some analysis on Kris Milo and Dave Crawford. Dave moved up more with his climb into the Professionals. He handled L. Liem very nicely, dispite some blowouts by Liem on some of his strong courses like Mario Raceway. However, Nguyen was not so nice, and had alot of tough times that led to a 8-24 defeat in Matchups! Kris Milo is closing in on Jason Engel with only a 14-18 deficit for his spot. With 2 King Times and all but 2 Non-sc Elite, Milo has a good chance at moving passed Engel soon.

-Sorry Launspach, but Hewlett gets the Top Story =)-

It's not only the Elite A's fresh from a comback that can redo their whole board on any given day. Andrew Hewlett went about in a 24-hour period, and rewrite his whole first place pak, by setting 32 PRs in that given time. There were some VERY impressive times on KD lap and Royal Lap, that topped efforts done by most players above him for many months. A very good performance indeed. Also Hewlett set a Kart 64 Players Record for places moved up in 24 hours with 10!!! The former record was in the 20's, but that took about 3 days of times to do so.

-Matt Batastini's Tape has made it to the karters-

Well I have had time to review Matt Batastini's Tape as a legend player. I can tell you he has greatly improved his skills. His MT preps are way better, and he uses way more sound of strategies when it comes to many of the courses. His next goal when it comes to karting should be better use of his rocketstarts, cause he has hurried them on the tape, or he does not slide the whole time. The rest is pretty track sensitive. Anyhow, Matt has gotten a nice comment from my brother when he saw his Sherbet Land Race. Jamie said that Matt's race is "smoother than mine." I must agree there, cause there was alot to be impressed with. His top time was without some Key MTs, and a 2nd place course time at least should be possible by his next session. Matt definitely has the potential to eventually contend for the title, but for now, he has a good distance to go with all the great competitors! Keep up the good karting Matt, and snag that 1st WR Gallo wants you to get so bad!!!

-Launspach Continues with Strong Times-

He fought back valiantly on his defense of Koopa Troopa Beach 3lap. However, Simmons and Batastini are showing they have potential to snag this WR too if Launspach doesn't continue. He also set some great PRs on SL lap with 32 flat, and MR lap with 23"21! As you can see, great times continue, but not without competition. Brian Gallo took 2nd place on this course away from Launspach with 23"20! This time is only .01 off the oldest WR in Kart History set by Matt Horwitz back in the "Golden Boys" era! Launspach all together has lost 3 WRs, but Launspach is unphased, cause he plans on defending his #1 ranking, and may make it a goal to capture all 32 Non-sc WRs, and um, maybe some SC too, well see!

-Zwartjes Accomplishes his first Goal-

Although disappointed by many historical times blundered, Steven did hit his first goal by breaking into the 31"40s on LR lap. His time only fell short .01 from Andy Launspachs lap. He also was .03 away from Launspachs new time with his KTB. Steven is gonna be out to set more goals this coming weekend.

-Gallo Motivated By Launspachs New Times-

Once Gallo heard news of Launspach's new DK time, he had to put his PR-less streak of over a month behind him. He went to DK Jungle and showed Launspach who is the master of this course. First, he thrashed his fastlap, and later took a couple tenth lead with a LOW 1'53 performance. His laps were inconsistent, so that was what kept him from his goal of sub 1'53! He also took back the WR that both Launspach and Simmons took away, but as you will learn below, Gallo did not keep this one for long...

-Simmons Tired Of Suprises-

Well, after seeing the scores of Andy, he didn't feel like the reported WRs were a substitute for chocolates, so he wanted everyone to make sure there will be no more suprises. He first went to MR SC lap and bettered his time a hard .04 to keep that out of reach of players like Zwartjes and Booth. After some more achievements, he finally broke the 0 mark on the LKR by hitting an amazing FS lap under 32"40!!! Simmons has however alot of WRs lately to very streaky players that number more than just a couple. lessen learned, no record is safe, so ya better lower those fast times!!!

-Booth TRYING to hold off Ihnatenko-

It seems pretty inevidable that Booth will once again move down to 7th place soon. However, this will not happen without a fight, cause Booth just scored a new LR drop with his new MMF lap, and he has shown promise in many other courses. However, with the discovery of new times, Booths WRless streak is at a record 3 months, and the risk of a 4th month is great!

-Ihnatenko As Amazing as ever-

If you thought what Penev did on Rainbow SC loop was amazing, Greg just proved it could be beaten. He as taken Simmmons Fastlap record, and combined it with a consistent finish on his way to a 3'38"24 finish! Also, Greg has now taken over the SC WR record on the phoney Wr as well. He also took another of Simmons WRs with a decent 1-1-1 run on Toad's Turnpike SC 3lap! He also thrashed Stevens fastlap there as well.

-Whalls with BIG legend hits, and DOUBLE PR!-

Yesterday, Jason Whalls hit a big Double PR on a 3lap session at Moo Moo Farm. His fastlap passed veteran Iacopo Sorce and top 10 player Kevin Booth. Also, MR 3lap has been smashed, and with it passed more players then you can count on one hand. About the only times he has not been able to touch are the LR times that he set ages ago. he'd like to remove all those SLOW KING TIMES, from his profile. Besides, those colors for the king times are not near as nice as the legend colors you must admit...

-Cetin Catching Whalls and Bernier-

He is very close now. With is 2 GOD time performance on the session before pare'd with TWIN turnpike SC times and a near hit on the SL god lap, he is very close to overtaking him. Though ahead on Matchups, Whalls has set new times that has lowered his LKR to low 2's and still has a better rating in REX SC points then Cetin has in REX Non-sc points vs the rest of the competition. Also, you must take account that there are 26 Non-sc boards to 20 SC boards. Anyhow, it is a VERY tough call, and as soon as the LKR drops about .200 to .300, there will be no denying Cetin his spot above Whalls, and most likely Bernier at that point. Very Nicely done again Cetin, and well I'd better looking at my rear mirror I imagine...

-Batastini With Fresh Times Continues-

Who says Batastini is all Non-sc? Well now he's even a contender for top spots on a couple. WS SC lap is now down to 16 seconds now. He also has tried to reach the WR's on KTB by getting 1'20"60s and a 26"18 fastlap! Many great times from Matt, as he gets closer to passing up Neil Marsden... Where is Neil anyhow? It's not like him to let people pass him...

-Sorce hits some times he's proud of-

Aside from the SC accomplishments, he also hit a respectable MMF 3lap and a few other great times in an effort to fight off a possible passing by Chris Hames in the near future. Sorce has split time between this game and pokemon as of late.

-Hames into The Racers-

It's not only the JAVA games, such as RC Racer, that he's getting good times on, he's also hitting Kart for some times from time to time, as he is trying to make many moves to that big legend mark. He hit Legend time #13 with his new Moo Moo Farm lap accomplishment.

-Ben Miller Continues to PR-

Steven's Tape Help is becoming way more evident with the many PRs he has set lately. He repassed Horwitz, and now is looking at King B soon. He has hit 2 great legend marks on KTB, and even some exciting SC stuff with a MR SC lap of 16'12.

-Jon Kretschmer Still Around-

Schooling is slowing things down, but still, he is setting some PRs. Alot of nicely ranked King Times as of late, and funny enough, he is exactly 250 Points from 0/0 on the LKR charts!

-Andrew Kent Makes King-

With alot of new times, Kent has now slipped in at King F ahead of veteran Wesley Reppert. Kent is showing some major potential as he has been killing alot of his old standards as of late in many courses.

-Milo is staying active-

Even though a 3+ hour session awhile back came up empty, he has been able to reach some nice marks that the feared 4 era players would have been proud of. MR 3lap would have taken Launspachs WR then, and turnpike times right around Booths times as a Elite B. Milos new rank will be evaluated tonght.

-Dave Crawford's 7 PR day on 22nd-

In that day, he greatly reduced the times of his WS, CM, and MR times. With a decrease like this, he will also be reevaluated as far as rank.

-New Players on the list-

I have finally posted the new ranks of a few players. Nate Mielnik off of a tape request, and a return mail for a request for current times has now been posted. Also Whalls' long time friend, Noah Bates' times from back in the early days of 1997 has been posted. Whalls once to motivate Noah to play told him he'd give him a dollar for any time he beat of Whalls. As you know, Whalls has been a great competitor, so Noah never even managed to get a dime from Whalls! Hey Whalls, we'd all like in that bet, ya know... Since Whalls got in a person he knew, I also added an instalment of the TEAM OREGON CREW! Yep, more from Oregon to come... Nathanel Pokorny has now been added, and with just 1 day training, he was able to land 2 of the hardest SCs... LR SC Jeos Style and CM SC the current way! Also a PAL player that sent in times to Sami Cetin has been added. Eise Smit has been added on the list, trying to make a mark in the advanced field of karters. Does Cindy Play Kart too? Tonight hopefully I'll give a rerank to Kris Milo, Dave Crawford and adjust the rank of Sawyer as well as move Andrew Kent to his deserved King Rank!

-New Page in the planning-

IMPORTANT! I'd like input on a new page idea that I have been giving some thought on forever, just never really thought of the structure. It will be a MYTHS ABOUT KARTERS page! I would like to be able to tell the non-community members just how wrong they are about some of the assumptions they have about the top players in kart. In previews, I have thought of questions such as GPA, Athleticism, College, and other statistics to display to tell others just how accomplished we are outside of the field of kart as well. Cause of the nature of questions like these, I am thinking of how to go about this. I think I will give everyone a choice in how they want to answer each question nessessary. They can either 1. Answer the question, and give permission to be named, 2. Answer the Question, but ask for the answer to only reflect the average and not be reported with their name in the case it would be done, or 3. not answer the question. Anyhow, need question ideas, so if you have them PLEASE send them in to KevinBooth@uswest.net, and give me some input on questions to ask, and the way I should disclose the information on the page. I plan on mailing quite a few karters on this, if interest arrises!

-Launspach reveals 4 more PRs (3 being WRS)-

As the times keep getting released, it is clear what will happen. Time will tell just how much impact this will have on the top spots. He just missed taking Horwitz's Last record on MR lap by hitting a legend B time of 23"23, however he did get the other records accompanied by Brian Gallo and Steven Zwartjes. Records drop like flys, and andy is now seeded King A.

-Wessels Comeback-

It's true, another comeback by an elite. Patrick Wessels would like a piece of the pie too, and his goal is to make the legend rank again before stopping. So far some impressive PRs that will be posted in a future update.

-Milo Hits 2 King Times-

Milo was able to pull off some King Times in MMF and FS lap that just broke the barriers respectively in each. He also squeezed some elite times out of Bowser's Castle and DK Jungle course times.

-Liem Hits Small PR-

Michael just missed breaking the 27 barrier with his 27"00 time on YV lap. He'll be gone til friday on a trip, but when he gets some more time, he'll be seeing what he can do with this and other boards.

-Launspach Reveals Mushroom 7/8 Wrs and todays BB WR-

Well that pretty much tells it all, but now Andy is ranked in the top 20 with these released times, and has tied Brian Gallo in the Phoney WR lead, as well as captured POW for the 2nd week of february. A very big hit was Kalimari Desert 3lap. Just as demonstrated on a tape to me ages ago, it is possible to pull off the "LAUNSPACH TRAIN TRICK". Jonathan Bernier has now lost his final World Record on the release of these mushroom cup times as well, and Mike Simmons gets hit hard today with 3 WRs lost to the LAUNDA ATTACK!

-Another Taste Of What Is To Come-

The Message Boards are already filled up with shocked karters as the first set of records were posted of Andy Launspach, well you'd better go check again, because he released 2 more scores today, and they can be found in multiple spots, hint, hint, again!!!! Expect a posting of 10-15 new times tonight!

-ONE FOR THE AGES =) =) =)-

Well, if you haven't figured it out already... I guess you didn't really get much time to do that, the person I speak of is no other than ANDY LAUNSPACH! Can you believe it, he's back, and unknown to the whole kart world, he didn't just start up today. Look at this email I got from Andy and some comments on his achievements. I will omit the times and any revealing info, cause I would like you to go see his profile and um, 2 other pages that I will not tell you to look at, cause that would reveal too much too!!!!!!

Mark this day as a big one in the history books Kevin because this email is going to blow your socks off!!! It killed me to keep this from you for so long, but I wanted to get all my times up, or should I say down, to (omitted) status. In the time span of approximately 4 months I rewrote my entire karting history, and the story will be unfolding before the karting community over the next few weeks.

As you know, I am attending the American Institute of Business studying to be a Court Reporter. I kid you not it is very demanding and time consuming so Mario Kart 64 has become my release from the stresses that come from such a vigorous schedule of college and work. I think Steno, my skills course, has had a very big impact on my dexterity because I picked up the controller a few months ago and wow, it didn't take long for me to blow some of my old times away. I have become the definition of lap consistency as you will be able to see with the following two submissions. I only want to give a taste as to what is coming because I want the karting community to race out of fear of what is to come. You can call me the Phantom Menace because the old schooler is going to be terrorizing everyone. Kevin, you know how much I love Star Wars so I think this title is quite fitting for my recent and past accomplishments as my records date back to late 1999.

I started playing again back in October of 1999. The 23rd, a Saturday, a day I will never regret. I quickly bettered all of my times. In a matter of 24 hours I had blistered my entire time trial history, both 3-lap and 1-lap. I then hit the trials very hard over my Christmas Break and that was the time period where I really made history. Don't worry, I have recorded all lap times and dates of accomplishment because you know how much I love a good history record. I don't want to shock the entire community so I am going to submit my times in small segments. Trust me, I am very active and all times I submit, even the ones today can be bettered, so hopefully I can submit some up-to-date records instead of the ones I set back over Christmas Break and early Y2K.

I think I have kept you waiting long enough, drum roll please.....

(all times omitted, go check out his profile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I thought it fitting to submit the Luigi Raceway time first because of the long history my name and its had together. Of all the courses in the game I believe I was best known for my long time dominance of this course, back in the golden days of the Fearsome Foursome. I can remember way back in 1997, or was it 1996, when I bettered Rocky Griffith's 1'42"20 for the world record. I can remember when I thought the 1'41"00 barrier would never be broken and then the 1'40"00 barrier became my obsession. Well, the bar is set, I would just like to know who is going to jump over this one.

DKJP was the course that I made my last comeback on and I always knew for a painful fact that I never reached my full potential. I could pull the most astounding lap times, but could never put an entire race together. Of all the tracks in the game I can't think of a more frustrating course. Yoshi Valley is a close second.

(header omitted)

For all of you who don't know me, greetings. I was the former world's best in Mario Kart 64 and I am close to (3 words omitted) again. If Kevin Booth hasn't told you about me I'm sure he can vouch for my times and my competitive drive. I can't really think of anything else to say except that I am looking very forward to competing against everyone again. It looks like the community is a bit larger than it used to be!!! Relax Whalls, I still hate shortcuts.

Sincerely,
Andy Launspach

Well folks? Kinda Leaves Ya Speechless huh? Well look around, and if you look in the right spots... hint hint... you might find out some real intersting things. For all of those that feel left out, since you never got to compete with the feared 4 members, this is your chance. Well I shouldn't say compete... Andy has a way of KILLING the competition, and well bad habits die hard =) =) =)

-Don't think there isn't more-

Well there is another person that has some released times to share too. He says after the summer of 1999, he has retired for good from kart, but does promise to be back for the release of the next kart. He has also appoligized about all the mess with the "site stealing" and all. He said that these behaviors were "immature", and that you were right to doubt him cause "so many people have lied". For all you non-believers still out there, he is willing to surrender this cartridge for the form of proof. I guess this doesn't bar the possibility of an ultimate gameshark code, but well folks, his new rank is still in the Kings, so community, I guess we can just go on and on and on about this and that in the past, and how this time and that time just can't be done at this time or that time, or how he didn't tell you this or that, or he acted like this or that, but if we continue to do this, we will never move on! Just to give you an idea about hidden kart potential folks, Just look at what steven has done in his comeback, and how fast the new karters have moved up! One last note, Andy Launspach cut more time then I will tell you on LR 3lap on just his first day of his comeback for a 32 PR out of 32 boards tried day! Remember, in Kart, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

I have posted the improvements as noted, and moved him up in the ladder as needed. I guess if you have something to say about it, you can tell me directly, cause it was always my idea to keep the times up there and never Matt's Idea. He said that it's not that important if they don't believe me, and you can take them down. Well guess what? Every Karter is important, regardless! And Folks, Matt told me countless strats that got me WRs on the 4th comeback, and they were original strats too. So if you need someone to yell at cause you feel wronged, I guess yell at me, cause I could have handled this different. Let Mr. Horwitz Retire in Peace!

-He He He, It figures Booth would back out-

Yep, I was kinda tired last night, so I figured all could wait another day. Besides, I accidentally uploaded an old version of the page. I should do that on april fools day sometime. Anyhow, to summarize, there is so much news. You cannot believe how many people are coming back, and the numbers are increasing. The Highest up Inactive player is now #6 Peter Elsaesser, to give you an idea just how volitile things are here.

And once again, WRs are dropping like Flys, but this time to the hand of a person with many goals from Holland! Also some promotions along the line as well as people reach bigtime standards. Also, The Non-scers playing SC continues, and one of them was even able to reach a Legend C SC lap!!!!

-TOP STORY: Name That Karter!-

Well wonders never cease, and this is proof that Kart is just that addicting. This player has some big News for you all. Get this, if he went back in time to about October 1998, he'd be the world champion by a good distance, and with many WRs. What is interesting is that back at that point, this karter was without a WR for 6 months, and not in the title hunt for the longest time.

So who can this guy be? you'll just have to stay tuned, cause he will not submit his times til he reaches a few more marks that he wants to meet. He does say that he might be on the Phoney WR however, on a long time strong course!

-No Goals Reached For Steven, but 5 PAL WRs!-

While Steven has failed to hit any of his goal times, he has set 5 new PAL WRs, and a couple Overalls as well. What is worse is that he had a WR run going at LR non-sc 3lap. ON HIS FIRST TRY, He first hit a pretty fast 33"60s first lap, then with a stroke of brilliants, he hit an amazing 33"48 on his 2nd lap. You figure Steven has a bigtime WR a brewin' here, but guess who never races 0-0-3? Well think anyone can beat a 32"50s last lap 3-shroom? Well if you could, you will beat Steven's best first try ever of 1'39"69, and 3rd best first try ever done. So Who holds the 2 best first try 3laps in history? Anyhow, his 2 WR hits on SL were a demonstration of his potential on SL, and he did break the Tie with Myles, so no longer does Myles have any converted to PAL records! Also some other strong PAL records, and near misses to the WR's held by Brian Gallo and Kevin Booth. KD 3lap and TT 3lap respectively. Steven did say that KD is totally possible, however, he did say that his turnpike run of 3'00"02 PAL was a pretty solid run, and perhaps he might not be getting that goal of sub 3 quite as easily as he figured.

-Matt Batastini Receives Legend D-

A great move for Matt Batastini in an effort to catch rival Neil Marsden. He set some strong PRs that beat most legends in KTB and he even has continued to hit SC times, and hit a Legend C mark on Luigi Raceway SC lap! Matt continues to be one of the hot hands in kart.

-Ihnatenko Remains Consistent-

Greg continues to hit big times on the ladder, and with his new WR, he now passes Myles Bukrim on the ladder, and sets his eyes on Kevin Booth, which has not been passed on the ladder for many months. He is on pace to pass Kevin Booth within a month. Greg recently hit a bigtime WR lap on Toad's Turnpike SC, and set a top 5 time on the 3lap SC partition there.

-The Rest Of The field Stays Active-

Mike Simmons has been trying to get a perfect 0 or lower on the LKR this month. With his big hits on WS and KTB, he has almost reached this goal. Chris Hames continues to add the occasional PR, but is no longer as hot as he has been. There is also another King Level Player back, and he is also hitting Non-sc and SC times alike, so watch for more legends soon! Kris Milo continues to hit some solid PRs on many courses. His matchups, along with Dave Crawfords will be checked next update to see where their new placings will be on the ladder. Craig Makepeace continues to stay active in kart about daily in hopes of moving up the ladder himself.

-AIM CHAT ROOM-

I think now that most of us have AIM, I think I will make a link to the MarioKart64Chat! Click on this, and it will automatically open up the window for you. I will always be here to talk about kart related stuff, so check it out. If you have pure AOL, download AIM, and then you can join us as well!

-Small Update, News Later Tonight-

There will be alot to talk about tonight. The Phoney WR is updated with 3 new WRs set. Also, there is alot of BIG MOVES in the ladder I would like to chat about when I get home from basketball. Check out the PhoneyWR and THE PAL HISTORY by Michael Liem, assistant historian!

-OFFICIAL PHONEY CONVERSION DECISION-

Well folks, I myself, was 2 hour late to the meeting. I chatted with Michael Liem, and asked him if anyone was on, and he said noone has been on the whole time for those 2 hours. We then decided to have the meeting taken care of between just us 2, and ran a veriety of tests.

What we have came up with is alot of numbers between 1.1978 and 2.025. So what does this tell Kart? Well this tells kart just as Gallo said, there is more than the frame rate that was discovered by Milo of lower than 60 is not the only thing that affects the game. The traffic/obsticles were tested above 1.2 and the kart itself was tested at below 1.2, so if you ask me, there is only 1 decision I can possibly make with faulty results like these:

As of this day, without the unexpected proof of an exact conversion to the thousandth, I will forever leave the official Phoney Conversion Rate for pal at the official speed of 83.333333333% the Speed of NTSC Racing. I know, we were all looking for a more fair number here, but I cannot pinpoint it with any consistency with any test, and to save Kart hours and hours of changes over and over, the only fair thing is to not change what we got.

So what does this mean for those that still are sure that this conversion thing is unfair to the PAL/NTSC player on a given board? Well, there are ways to get the game+ a converter, so you can directly compete against your opponants. That of course costs money, and of course takes 2X the time to play both games, and after all, it is just that, so why would ya want to? I am sure I can set up a fund for such a setup, but the people I have contacted on this are generally not interested, so I guess that is out.

I guess if you do not want to invest the time/money for this option, you will just have to either live with my decision, or just compete at REXs Site under either the 25's for NTSC or PAL depending on what system you have. I don't know what to say folks, you got options, and all this site as been about is ranking people so any type of player from any system or location can compete with anyone else in order to keep a competitive envirnment.

So as I've ranted on about in the other paragraphs, well just have to keep it the same for the best of kart.

-Andrew Kent Hits Tons Of New PRS-

Just at the turn of last update, Kent sent in an email with a bunch of new times. YV and Rainbow are some of his best improvements. They will be available for you to see in his profile most likely in the next few days.

February 11th 2000

-Greg Ihnatenko Hits Awesome PR-

In a very consistent race, Greg was able to break into the 1'52"70s on Bowsers Castle 3lap. Another Key point, is his efforts to pass Myles Bukrim. Can you believe that he is almost passed him? Well it is true. The current matchup is 24-27-2! (11-19-2 in Nons and 13-8! in SC). Elsaesser will be a hard one to judge, so perhaps pressing to pass an active Kevin Booth might be the way to go.

-Simmons hits WR on KTB, Batastini follows..-

With 2 26"80s and a 26"90, it is clear that the 1-1-1 strat on KTB is once again alive! Mike beat a record that Alex Penev has held since the last time KTB was a hot commodity. Matt Batastini is running alike laps, and it is a matter of time before he'll be contesting for his first WR ever!

-Excuse Me PR by Booth-

After alot of boring runs on YV Sc to try to get something on tape, booth headed to MR SC and of course as usual, for a person that could run sub 52 with his splits cannot even get over the wall. Either way, decided to give MR a first try and got 3- 25"teen laps in a row. He knew he had nothing to lose, so 5 minutes later, he scored a 1'14"95. Definitely, a good sign when you normally have a hell of a time going sub 1'15. 10 min later 1'14"81 and a couple runs later, Sub 1'14"70 to pass plenty of Key Non-sc Players. There is a good chance he now leads Peter Elsaesser in REX points for Non-sc.

-Unlikely SC Players-

As you know, everyone is trying a hand at the SC's before the much talked about help tape comes out. Matt Batastini even beat Kevin Booth at WS SC. Chris Hames got close to a 16 second time on WS SC, but missed the SC on the last lap. However, both of them have had some King Times in the SC category as of late.

-Predictions In Next 6 Months-

Anyone care to forcast who the top 10 players in the world will be 6 months from now? It's a good question, cause of all the great active players. If you care to predict, send your predictions to the mailing list, and I might post some of the better ones in a future news update.

-NEIL MARSDEN VALIDATED!-

Well folks, it finally happened! Neil Marsden has been validated with a tape that came in on the 7th of this month, and it clearly shows MR marsden racing 15/16 courses in their entirety. Now Neil may take his deserved spot in the Legend D area, just ahead of Matt Batastini who is quickly catching Neil daily. Well kart, what can I say... You all were not sure of the Glen Ridge Folks, but as I did, you let them be a part of Kart. Then you were not sure, so we did the freezing. Now that the symbolic gesture has been accomplished, I see no more reasons to carry on like this.

Also, Matt Batstini did see Brian Gallo do a 37"77 1-shroom on DK Jungle Parkway, and I saw him do a 24"80's lap on MR lap on his japanese copy. I guess you can say well maybe Matt and Brian are friends, or that Neil could have done the MR thing, but well here is what I have to say about that. I know alot of you will not like what I have to say, but gee wiz, enough is enough. Gallo is vaildated too as far as I'm concerned, and really, how the hell do you know that even I'm telling the truth these days, cause it has been many months since anyone has seen me play. I guess well just have to trust eachother I guess?

I guess if you insist that Gallo is still not telling the truth, I guess I'll just take some time off and just fly up to Glen Ridge myself just to prove it to you all. I'd be out a few hundred+lost wages, but what they hay, I want this done and over with, and I guess as I said before, I will do what is best for Kart, and if noone else will, I guess I have to!

-Meeting For PAL CONVERSION CHAT scheduled!-

Ok folks... Initial Scheduling for this meeting is FRIDAY 11PM. If this does not work, I will schedule a meeting for Sunday 11am, and then a final segment for Monday 1AM! On Monday, I will decide the fate of conversions for the last time. This takes so much work to change profiles with the conversion numbers, so I wish to make the right decision that is as FAIR AS IT CAN BE. NTSC players are welcome to attend to give some input wherever needed.

-Kart News-

Well, I did do a small update to the Players List. Actually 2 of them. I included a player from the past (noah bate), and a new player by the name of Craig Makepeace. Man, I sure get tired of renumbering profiles, so I am once again concidering doing away with the rank numbers for unseeded players to save some valuable time in the updating. Anyhow, Steven Zwartjes is back! He is here to finish some last goals, and has already went sub 1'38 on Sherbet Land on his comeback run. Once he achieves 1'56"99 PAL, he will move on to Banshee Boardwalk. Mike Simmons is struggling to make that perfect 0 LKR, but has lowered many times lately. His biggest hit so far has been WS lap, but he would like to make that way bigger. As far as Kevin Booth goes, he is working on finishing his tape. After hitting a new TT lap, he only was able to pull off a sub 1'42 on FS as of late. He did get 2 good examples of the DK SC and is working on getting YV SC's on tape. Jason Whalls continues to PR with a little help from the fam. Sherbet Land went down nicely just a bit ago. Greg Ihnatenko continues to do great with his PRS, but of course, not near at the pace as before. he only has 3 King Times remaining out of 52 possible. Yes, even Myles Bukrim got a PR on Royal SC. He'd like to stress that this is no comeback, and he only played to get an extra win on Jason Whalls. Sami Cetin broke Legend C and Michael Liem continues to hit strong PRs to get close to that Legend C area too. Some big hits on YV for Liem as he has been waiting to go sub 1'29 for the longest time. Matt Batastini on next profile update will have a big suprise for you all on the right side of his profile =). Ben Miller and Chris Hames continue to be very hot kings. They are still in flames, as they move up the charts. Jon Kretschmer continues to play from time to time, but his studys will need some attention for awhile, so PRs won't be as often. Kris Milo and Dave Crawford continue to hit good times. Crawford got his first Elite C time on KD lap. Andrew Hewlett continues to hit a veriety of times as he is trying to make that leap into the Experts.

Deadline Update

-Well, you've been warned! 9/9/99-

Well folks, this is indeed a sad day. 2 people have not made the deadline, and well haven't post marked anything either, so well, I had to settle with Loyal Validators. Anyhow, ages ago, I had several complaints about people in the top 10 or close that haven't validated, and there was some serious alligations in the air involving myself and the people unvalidated. This deadline was part of the agreement, and there is no going back on it. Also, if the deadline isn't met by the parties they wanted to see proof from, there is a course of action that must be taken. This course of action, is investigation of all activites suspicious in the fuction of Kart involving validation. As of this time yesterday, I have named MYLES BUKRIM has top investigator, and the people concerned agreed apon this. So, if you have any questions on how things are going, email myself and Myles. Be warned though, that we really can't comment on much til everything has been fully looked into. I won't even know what Myles is doing half of the time, for he needs to be independant from me in order to make an unbiased investigation involving the many alligations that have been made.

So what happens at the end? Well I'm prepared. Myles will make a full report with references and turn it into myself. After that, "The Internationals" will decide which arguments are valid and from there this board will pass on the news to the 2 people described in the report and the charges they must respond to. They get one week to react appropriately. In the end, once they have reacted, the biggest suprise happens... A full blown case.... This will only happen if explanations don't fully dismiss all cahrges. In this instance both parties can represent themselves or allow MYSELF to act as defense for them in their place... the Prosection will include Myles and the people that have been complaining about validation and lastly the Jury will be the internationals! points will be argued then the internationals will decide... all of them must agree on a verdict! If they are hung or innocent is read for any charge, then it is over, and the player is cleared of all charges. This doesn't mean I accept PRs from them yet, for their times will be frozen til I see proof, but it does mean that a nasty final step isn't gonna go down.

The last step would be the worst for Kart. The dethrowing of a champion. If this ends up happening, I won't comment on what I might do. I sure hope it doesn't come down to this, but in the best interests of Kart, I will do what is best for Kart! Anyhow, enough said, this isn't something I wanted to happen, but the whole basis of this community is that everyone can freely move around it, and when this is disturbed, actions must take place to correct the movement restrictions. Anyhow, that is all for now... I wish everyone the best of luck on either side!

-Zwartjes Is Awesome!-

Steven Zwartjes continues to kick some assfault! I tell ya, I've seen some amazing times out of him lately. Like KTB 3lap got way lowered for one thing. He even beat one of his oldest PRS on MR SC 3lap that he set back in September 1997!!!! Lots of great improvments as he moves up the chart to challenge many Karters... Myles Bukrim, Jonathan Bernier, Mike Simmons, Peter Elsaesser and even Alex Penev are within reach as of now!

-THE WS SC LAP STORY-

Man, I can't even believe how this course has been torn a part since my last update! If you think that 3"50 that greg has was something else, just wait! He improved that score to 3"30!!!! Yes 3"30!!! but, what... No *.... Well folks, that's cause that time is not a World Record!!!!! Seriously, Greg doesn't have the world record here. Myles decided to do something about it, and scored an impressive... 3"02*. As a last note, I had a chat with Wonn a few days back, and he wouldn't comment on the time. This means you haven't found the secret yet! This Board still has some serious potential.....

-More Great Karting-

Greg Ihantenko continues to chop time off Banshee Boardwalk. Also, Louis-Philippe Sabbagh decides to do some serious damage on Choco Mountain SC and get 2nd place and first place tie marks there with a spectacular set of times. In responce, Penev shaves .02 off his 3lap and gets close to breaking the tie on fastlap. Chris Hames is back, and currently, he's approaching and passing some of the many lower elites on the chart. Sami Cetin adds some new times on YV SC. Ben Miller continues the climb up to the top with yet more times. At this rate, he will make the King Rating this or next month. Steve Smith adds a few new times as well. Also, Mike Simmons has done great this week as well! Myles had a great week as well, but feel short in the POW to Steven's Amazing PR surge he had in the middle of the week.

-News on Proof I did Receive-

Well a tape and a game pak have arrived. Myles' tape is here, and trust me, it's like no other Karter. He does do some of my same strats, but his SSMTs are opposite direction, but best of all... He's trying to find new SCs on that course, and you never know what he will find. Yes folks, it has been put on Record.. IT IS POSSIBLE TO REACH THE LOOP ON RAINBOW ROAD!!!!!!!!! This is now validated! Also, I got a Game Pak in from Greg Ihnatenko. His WS Sc lap and MR SC lap have been validated. I tried to beat his MR SC lap ghost, but of course I failed miserably. I can beat it to the SC, but that ghost cuts the wall just too good for me to have a chance.

-Miscellaneous-

On next update, I will do a player's list update, and give more news on yet another meeting of the Titans.. SIMMONS VS BOOTH! Til then folks, and keep up the great Karting!

September 2nd 1999
Wow, Booth Updated?

-Summary Of Events-

Hello Everyone! Man so much has happened since the last full update to this site. Finally I've got alot of stuff looking way better, and links are fixed for the most part. I am gonna continue to work on this as motivation goes up. I have now lightened my Starcraft Playing Hours, so I will now be back to update, and to be once again a part of what really matters to me, the KART 64 PLAYERS! I tell ya, everytime I go and do something else as far as gaming, It doesn't take but a few weeks to remember what I was missing, so here I am ready to get things squared away. I shall also announce some openings and stuff already done in the next subject. As far as Karting, just when you thought it was dead, Myles and I had to rerank like 14 Karters!!!!!! So it's far from dead folks, so if you feel like keeping your position, you'd better rush to that platform and bust out some new times! I should know, I got passed too!!!! Again!!!! Blasted!!!!!

-Projects?-

I have one key project that I have been attacking like a madman... NEW STANDARDS! I've had some complaints about some of the older ones and everyone seems to have a different version, so here we are! The are "Proposed" so please don't take them 100% to heart quite yet. Mike Simmons, Louis-Philipe Sabbagh and many others are still testing them and there has been mistakes found here and there, so we will continue to work at this.

If anyone has some free time, and feel qualified to do the Kart History Page, Become A Member Pages, or a Thanx Page, let me know, cause those are open to whoever wants to lend a helping hand. Also, if anyone can think of some hidden page ideas and new Chat Rooms, Guestbooks or Message Boards, please inform me!

-Sturn Reminder! 9/9/99-

I know you may think I'm joking, but I'm dead serious! This time I set a deadline, and I expect it to be met. My site is going through a grievance procedure, and these proofs are vital to getting everything squared away. I will not go into detail about teh Grievance until after 9/9/99, in an effort to protect the innocent, but let's just say that there are some serious accuasations involving several people, including myself, so things will start to get hairy very soon, so I'm counting on your help! Thank You Myles Bukrim For Your Tape, it has reached Kris Milo, which has been named an official validator, so you have now been cleared and fully validated! However, I still haven't received conformation from Brian Gallo, Jason Whalls, or Neil Marsden for proof, so sent what ya got ASAP! If you care about Kart, you will do this for us!

-Votes for Who's Best-

I sent a few letters to the top Karters on voting for the best ever. For those that wanna participate, go to the Player's List and click on the Kings Header to access the once hidden page =) From here, you'll see some rundowns on players and such. Your job, rank them 1-10 or replace as needed Karters that should make the top 10. The 10 Listed Include (Brian Gallo,Alex Penev,Peter Elsaesser,Mike Simmons,Jonathan Bernier,Myles Bukrim,Jason Whalls,Kevin Booth,David Wonn,Andy Launspach) but you can use any Deserving Kart in place. Also list why you chose a certain Karter in a certain place!

-News On Karters-

#1 Brian Gallo is still adamat about Nov 1st, but he seems like he may have at least a couple races for a tape, time will tell. He also says he has tons of Neil Stuff Too.

#2 Alex Penev hasn't done much as of late, he just headed off of a week without Kart to find that he now has several karters knocking on the door, Alex will have his hands full!

#3 Peter Elsaesser has scored a few times here and there from Holland, but as far as elsewhere, Rene is unable to be at the computer now, so your guess is as good as mine. Rene did say that Peter isn't playing most courses as of when he lasted talked about it.

#4 Mike Simmons is really flying! Man, Talk about a canadate for Player Of The Year!! There are others to mention, but so far he's done alot of amazing things, which even include, get ready for this... Non-Sc WRs! Yes, Simmons proves once again just how versitle he really is.

#5 Jonathan Bernier set some Records on KTB and Moo Moo Farm that were awesome! Since then, he hasn't been playing much. College is getting pretty overwealming, so he'll be out for a bit, but we all know Bernie, always as dangerous as ever!

#6 Myles Bukrim has held his own, but those others have proven very hard. When Myles gets motivated to set some records, he will show his talent off the usual way, the Myles way...

#7 Steven Zwarjes has been fire cracker hot as well. WR ties in Rainbow SC 3lap and Royal lap, and Big WR laps on KTB and SL! He's going nowhere else but to the top!

#8 Jason Whalls is playing Chrono Trigger with an Emulator and just plain chilling for now. He's back to school already, so motivation for Kart will be low on the list for awhile.

#9 Kevin Booth may look like he retired, but guess again.... WR! WR! WR! LR lap is now 31"56* folks, and his 3lap is down to 1'39"17, and he shows no sign of stopping, cause his best laps now add up to a WR! Watch out Brian Gallo!

#10 Sami Cetin Set a new YV SC 3lap Time that beat Booth.

#11 Louis-Philippe Sabbagh has delt mega damage, and even set a new WR Tie in CM SC lap! He's fastly persuing 10th Sami Cetin!

#12 Michael Liem is still in the running, but just not playing that much as of late.

#13 Dave Hines has kept active and has set a NTSC WR Tie on CM SC lap! also he has become a Legend as of late.

#14 Greg Ihnatenko managed to take back his WS SC Lap WR, and continues to lower this puppy... 3"50* is the current statistic! Proof via Ghost expected in the coming weeks.

Ok to the others. Ben Miller is now Ranked, and I must say he has done excellent! His current challenge is Kevin Towles which was one of our best phenoms about this time last year. Jason Van Over leads the pack in mass improvements with his 4 KING TIMES on 2 tracks (Bowser's Castle, Rainbow Road) Jason's Star and Special is elite by itself, but the top 2 are the weak points so far vs the standards. Zane made a great jump as well, but is currently working on players like Mark Roth which have very strong SC times, and Leo which is decent all around. look for Zane in the coming weeks. Also, Christopher Graves hit some very suprising Times to move him close to the pack! Tom Hoban has been moved up accordingly for his great times as well! Steve Smith moved up as well, but his times will be listed at a later date. Randy Jheeta has done some damange too, but STobbe at 12-20 will be his next goal most likely. Lastly, Klass finally passed long retired Jake Heller! Congratuations all for playing so well, and I shall catch ya next update!

-Ihnatenko Unphased-

Greg Continues to set PRs even though Myles has beaten one of his WRs Back. He did say that he won't most likely be taking that record back anytime soon, but he did score a new PR on Rainbow Road SC and reduced it down to 3'48''87 with a new fastlap of 1'15"38!

-All Elite For Ben-

Historian Update After Midnight!

-Summary Of Events-

Wow, I haven't updated everyone on the news lately. Well you can say since I have last wrote the news, that I just had to take a break for awhile, cause it was just getting too overwealming, and of course the Horwitz Incident didn't make things better for anyone. All that together, and well, I lost motivation for awhile, but hey, I'm still here and I still get emails with new members all the time. Another exciting Entry among many I'm gonna welcome is Ben Miller From Australia. He's already an Elite at the Player's Page, and is doing great so far. He's following the same path as Sydney's Very Own Alex Penev!

Tonight, lots of important issues to discuss as goes the future of Kart. I have alot of Pending Projects that I am dreaming up, but it's gonna take awhile. These include but are not limited to Strategy Pages, More Hidden Pages, LKR Updating, And Other Nifty things like that. If anyone has anything they'd like to work on for the page, or fresh ideas, run them by me. Also, I found an alternate to the Be Seen Chat Rooms. While perhaps not the graphical wonder they are, it seems a bit more solid, but testing will have to take place. I shall place a link up there, and links to chats for AOL and AIM on next update.

Players, Players, Players, this is what this Page is about! I know you all want some news on what is going on with them, so we shall do that tonight as detailed as possible. Most will be skipped, but if I got any news on them, then I shall place it here just so you know how everyone stands on stuff. Trust me, lots of suprises, so hold on tight!!!

-New Members-

Oh Man, This is definitely the good news about Kart, were still getting new members... This is Kart's 2nd Year!! and we are getting new members, this is just something else. More come in about every day or at least every week, so I plan on staying around for quite awhile for the new talent out there. Ok, let's see if I can remember all the new entries or recent entries to the site.

Rena Guagenti has joined our page as a Kart Fanatic with a few times. Also, Sami Cetin has turned Recruiter and sent the times of his many friends and Relatives. They are not overly high in the standings just yet, but they have alot of fun playing the game, and really, isn't that why we play games anyhow? Also, I've got plenty of new members of my own, even from Oregon... Coos Bay To Be Exact. Jason Van Over comes from the home of Steve Prefontaine, and is doing fairly good so far.

Also, Steve Kent Smith has joined the Player's Page. I think we finally have someone that understands the game about like myself and Wonn, and he has just started. He has rediscovered like about every SC or Trick that Wonn and I have discussed, and even found one that Wonn has only done a handful of times, more details on that later... Besides that, Steve is plugging along, and already can use 8/10 SCs at his disposal. I don't think there has been a player that has done that many SC's this early in his career, so this is definitely a good sign

Also Gallo had someone email him by the name of Randy Jheeta. He seems fairly devoted, and I have a feeling he'll be striving for elite in the coming months. Lastly, Ben Miller from the message board has sent in his 30/32 Elite Times. I shall add him to the Player's List very Soon!

-The Future of Player's Page...-

Well, There is a future folks! Lots of stuff to do and to modify. Currently I'm working on several hidden pages, which will be announced when they are approprately placed. Also, LKR are being reconfigured. I had a secret meeting on the GOD times and they got slightly adjusted and I sought advice on the Legend A jump down. From there, I'm gonna rewrite everything down from there to Elite F! After that, I'm gonna preview them with both Mike Simmons and Michael Liem and see if they think they are reasonable, and from there, well see where we want to go. I wanted to make an LKR committee, but everyone has their own things going, so I've sorta given up that idea for now.

I do got the starts of an attempt to revamp a Strategy Page based on the strategies of the best in the world. Alex Penev has busted out a few maps for a preview, and from there were gonna discuss just how we want to implement them. I'm still undecided to how to get this done. All I know is if you have a killer strat, put it into words and send it into me, and I'll forward it to Penev.

I was planning to try to get this site hosted on a dedicated server, but I guess Acmecity will just have to do for now. Man I hate these banners here! If anyone can brainstorm an idea expect for turning off Javascript to get these beasts off, please let me know, cause I'm all for it!

If anyone has any issues that they want me to mention on the main page, let me know, cause there is alot of stuff I'd like to discuss/run by the kart community. There is so much out there, but you know the drill, it's easy to forget unless you constantly bring out your notepad and type away! Anyhow, lastly, take note of the changes in the Submission List. Yes, some of them aren't 100% nessessary to send, but I recommend you use this submission list for all submissions. If anyone wants to get submissions for any reason, let me know...

-News On Players-

#1 Brian Gallo has now been inactive for awhile. After reaching Legend A, his schedule has been a little compromised by many activities, so don't plan on him getting any new times til about November or later. This does cause some concerns and I will bring those up at the end of this news update. Also, alot of things really up for grabs when it comes to Gallo and related Players, but we shall not get into that yet. Anyhow, not much else on Gallo quite yet, cause I haven't seen him on lately to get any input on him.

#2 Alex Penev is still setting some PRS. Lately he has refined some of his Non-SC scores, and has tried to contend for a few more WRs. Mainly, he's trying to hold off his neighbors that would really like his #2 spot in the world. Also he is currently aiding me in an attempt to vamp the strategy page and some other things. Alex continues to hang around the kart scene!

#3 Peter Elsasesser just recently decided to give Kart a Try and Set a WR tie in YV lap! He also set many other good times, one including breaking away from the KTB lap pak, however far too late, cause others have set some astonishing times! From what I hear, he won't be playing all the courses, but he will be setting some times to solidify his position in the standings...

#4 Jonathan Bernier was fast on Peter's Heals til his recent improvements. Let's just say Bernier is afraid of no moles, cause he has set new WR's on Moo Moo Farm that are just plain cookin'! Many a karter had to take a trip into the facilities to clean themselves after hearing what he has accomplished here. Also a good deal of new times from him other than that. He also got within .01 of my MR Non-sc fastlap.

#5 Mike Simmons continues to play! Setting GREAT SC times, and what... Setting Great Non-sc times? No, Setting a Great Non-SC WR?????? Am I on something? No, it's true, he is currently in a 3-way tie for first in YV SC lap, and a strat he gave me also lowered my time to near the 27 second barrier!

#6 Myles Bukrim said he was retired, well is he? Na! He decided to avenge a trend of Ihnatenko SC records by taking back WS SC lap by .01 with his 3"72*! He does plan to lower this, so Greg, keep at it, cause Myles is not giving up the ghost! Also Myles has been into POD racing and a few other games as of late.... Myles has been involved in helping me Rank the player's on the list, and some other very important kart functions that I shall explain later. To explain it now would be compromising his position....

#7 Jason Whalls is undecided as far as his Kart Career goes. He does take pride that he is the current SC champion, and has stuck with it for the longest time! He still does work on side pages for fun, and do a few other things. Also he recently took part in a Tourney NP put on for Mario Golf, and got a pretty decent score. Jason just might have set the WR there, but only time will tell. Email him now at JWhalls@home.net

#8 Kevin Booth is still in the picture. After a 19-day inactive period, and with advice of Simmons, he has put together a couple lap Prs, and has proven he still has the touch by getting close to many of his best times with limited amounts of time spent. Booth is also persuing Starcraft, Chess and many other games. Job Changes are possible and many other things.... New Email for him is KevinBooth@uswest.net, although he still checks the other one.

#9 Steven Zwartjes has destoyed the KTB WR! I've never even imagined it can get this fast til now. I've messed up some Teen Runs, but nothing like this one. Man I wish I was there when this bady was set, cause it must have been an exciting time indeed! Also, he's set alot of other great times in persuit of my #8 spot in the world.

#10 Sami Cetin hasn't played much as of late, but has created a Player's Page for SMK! We wish him the best of luck with that, and are providing him with some helpful advice to get him started on the right foot.

#11 Louis-Philipe Sabbagh is on yet another Karting Streak and is moving up the charts like noones business. He's getting darn good at SC's too! I'm sure he's avenging that WR take away by Simmons, and seeing if he can get that WS SC lap he did before!

#12 Michael Liem hasn't played much Kart Lately, except for a planned Tourney between himself, Zwartjes, the Elsaessers, and a few others. Details on this on a later update.

#13 Dave Hines has recently made the Jump to Legend with his recent array of great times. I guess he's right about never retiring, even though he's had doubts of this claim in the past...

#14 Greg Ihnatenko is continuing to answer the critics by setting time after time and moving up the charts. WS SC lap WR for a bit, til Bukrim got motivated and took it back... His Nons are lookin' pretty good too, ya know!

Ok, as far as others you may want to know about. Iacopo Sorce is still on vacation, but will be back later this month. Everyone has wanted news on Launspach for awhile, and here it is... Nope, he's retired and will remain so, but he's finally found out that he wants to be a court reporter just like his dad, so he will be persuing that. Sterling Neblett's N64 is having some major problems, so count him out for awhile. Also Batastini will be starting college, so he's about done too. Nathan Johnson is continuing to refine his Tennis skills and persue acedemic greatness. Eddie is also back and setting new times here and there. Chris Hames is playing POD racing as of now and is #2 at the site to POD great, Myles Bukrim! And well everyone else, some of them are moving up the charts and others aren't.

Lastly, Mike Klass has improved some of his times and has managed to pass absent Jake Heller, which was known as Glitch Jr at the Nintendo BBS! One of Mikes best efforts was a 20 second shave off of DK Jungle with peach!

-Anything I Miss?-

Tons I imagine, but most of the further news is pending on further investigation. Lots of stuff to talk about, but I think I will remind everyone of a last note I did in a newsletter to the affected karters..

-VALIDATION CALL 9/9/99-

9/9/99 I would like to see PROOF TAPES, NOT PICS, from Myles Bukrim, Jason Whalls, Neil Marsden, and Brian Gallo, or severe Penalties will arrise. Penaltys will include but not be limited to Freezing of Ranking, Times, and required proof for further times if deadline is not reached. This has been requested that unvalidated karters get their acts together from several karters that have done the same throughout their career, so this is your final notice! Send what ya got now, before it's too late!

-5-Way Tie-

You heard correctly folks! We have a 5-way tie for Koopa Troopa Beach Lap! Brian just got 26"27***** yesterday to make possibly the most amazing thing in Kart 64 history occur! I'm still in shock...I'm not inviting you to break the tie Jonathan.=) Which seems like something you'd do. Anyways, Gallo just needs to zapp his 6 Legend C times, and he moves up to Legend A! Go for it Brian!

-Royal Penev-

Alex went 6/6 so many times on Royal SC that I forget which one was the PR! Ever had that happen before folks? He also zapped his lap...32"23! Then off to Mario Raceway he went. 52"14 and 15"82! Nice ones Alex! So, got anymore awesome midis for your profile?=)

Myles's Update 330am Eastern Time

-Get Well Soon Neil-

One of karts greatest quick PRers, Neil Marsden, had an unfortunate incident occur recently. A reliable source tells me he was playing baseball, and the pitcher (belly itcher) threw an awful pitch that was heading straight for Neil's chest! He tried to block it, but broke a finger in the process! I'm sorry this happened to you Neil, and I hope you get well soon. The rank of Legend F awaits you!

-Karts Newest Phenom-

I tried to keep track of all Chris Hames's PRs in the last week, but I lost count! From Luigi Raceway to Rainbow Road Chris has thrashed every single one of his times! He is clearly POW, and who knows, if this continues, we may have another Bernier! Keep it up Chris!

-Simmons Returns To Kart-

Oh My Garsh!!! Mount St. Simmons just erupted! We're talking marks like 1'38"48 on Choco Mountain, 1'28"89 on Yoshi Valley, and the amazing one, 1'19"33* on Luigi Raceway!!! I would mention more HUGE times from Mike, but I'd be here all day! Well, one more time to tell you about. 15"77* Mario Raceway Lap!!! How many Homers Griffey have Mike?

-Legend Louis Has Nice Week-

You read correctly, Louis's 4.991 LKPS moves him up to Legend F! Louis has hit some huge times lately! Like 1'39"46 on Sherbet Land for example! He also got the Simmons Yoshi Valley SC lap strat to work...7"89 with Peach! If there's anything great you haven't already done Louis, go for it!

-Gallo Snatches More WR's-

Brian, save a few WR's for the rest of us!=) You're taking them all.=) Anyway, Brian has gotten times like 32"62* on Frappe Snowland lap, 26"74* on Yoshi Valley, and 1'54"37* and 36"02* on DK's Jungle Parkway! I didn't mention his other PRs, waiting til they're WR's too.=)

-Whalls Astonishes All-

Thanx to a 32"29 Royal lap Jason got, he's now Legend Ranked on ALL Shortcut Times! Now that's gotta rank as one of the most amazing feats in Kart 64 History! Whalls also zapped a major weakness, Wario Stadium Non-Shortcut. He got 3'44"83 and 1'13"92 with Toad. Keep up the good work Jason!

-Myles Snapps Out Of Slump-

Myles got 1'16"57 on Choco Mountain SC, then went PRless for 5 days! He lost all his confidence, mainly because he wasn't even close to PRs. Well, he became relentless yesterday. He said "PR today, or another fake retirement!" After several hours of hard work, Frappe Snowland lap of 33"06. Shortly after, Mario Raceway lap of 23"56 with Cement (a.k.a. Toad). Lastly, Moo Moo Farm lap of 24"12 with Peach, that's right, Peach! All of these were taped.

-Kalimari Kevin-

Kevin got a nice 1'45"58 on Kalimari Desert recently, which included a breathe-taking 35"07 second lap! He also got 15"94 on Mario Raceway lap. All of these were with Toad. BTW, Kevin's computer will be back in order soon! So Dave, you'll get Kevin after all! No more Matt, no more me, Kevin!

-Penev's Jungle Assault-

Alex had 1'55"53 and 36"48 on the Parkway. Well, he now has 1'54"80 and 36"11!!! Did the Kangaroo jump the moon or something? Well, those are some damn good times Alex! Sorry Brian had to take your WRs.=) Anyway, get 52 times like that, you might just be #1 again!

-Thanx-

Mike Klass- Thanx for that nice new banner at the top of the page! It fitts the background perfectly!

Iacopo Sorce- Another one of your many awesome pics! Exactly what this page needs!

Everyone- Continue to make kart the greatest game ever!

Myles's Update 830pm Eastern Time

-Myles Named Co-Manager Of Site-

Horwitz has retired from updating the site do to not receiving enough respect, and Myles Bukrim has volunteered to take his spot updating the site. Myles isn't at the level of Matt's html skills, but knows enough, and will keep this site up to date!

-Sterling Neblett On A Roll-

Sterling Neblett is simply picking the course and smashing his records on them! He's in the top 5 for Royal SC 3lap & lap now with amazing marks of 1'44"57 and 32"41! Anywhere from Luigi Raceway to Rainbow Road, Neblett has made major improvements! Keep it up Stering!

-Sorce Making Major Improvements-

Iacopo Sorce has stepped his level up this week, and may get POW! He now he NO Elite times! His 1'40"51 on Luigi Raceway pushed him over the hump! His Mush Standards have vastly improved in the last week. Nice work Nai!

-Gallo Personifies Rainbow Reality-

The title describes it perfectly! Brian got !!!4'58"42*!!! on Rainbow Road!!! Laps of 1'38"71, 1'39"80, and 1'39"91! Brian also got 1'21"55 on Koopa Troopa Beach and 49"69 on Turnpike lap. Expect huge Mario Raceway lap improvement from Brian in the next few days!

-Myles Starts Tape With 5 PR's-

Myles recorded some great marks on tape! Like 1'39"70 on LR, 1'21"57 on KTB, and 15"93 on MR SC lap. He's been hard at work on Banshee Boardwalk lately, and is getting 35"20s with one shroom constantly! His tape will be done in nearly a month.

-Sabbagh Makes Strong Return To Kart-

Louis Philippe-Sabbagh Returned to kart with several PR's! He broke 3'49 on Rainbow SC, and hit the Simmons SC lap on Yoshi Valley! Louis also made several other huge shaves! Nice Improvements Louis!

-Tribute To Matt Horwitz-

I understand your reasons for retiring, and would probably retire too if I were in that situation. I admit I did doubt 2 of your WR's being real, and I'm sorry I did. I just had no idea everyone was acting like that towards you. You've helped kart so much! I wouldn't be the karter I was today if it wasn't for you! You helped construct this site, and I'd still be an elite if it wasn't for the help of it. Thanks Matt! And good luck in the future!

Myles

The Latest News: June 10th 1999
*- Summary Of This News Briefing

Hello All, this is Kevin Booth, back to tell everyone just what has been going on in the last months. I have much to discuss. I must have alot to discuss, cause I'm not even gonna get any sleep before working a 11-7 shift today just so I can get all of this off my chest. All of this must be said and it must be said NOW!

*- Stuff Majorly Out Of Date And Why

As you may all have noticed, stuff hasn't been as efficient here as we all would have liked and for good reason. Since before I can remember, my computer stopped working, so ever since then, this site has taken a beating, but it has kept ticking, and visitors continue to pile in and make profile requests. for this reason alone, anyone on the Kart 64 Player's Team must be dedicated to getting business done! I must say, some people have really stepped forward and really helped me alot. I hope I don't forget anyone.... First, we got SAMI CETIN, MICHAEL LIEM, and RENE ELSAESSER! They have lined up several of the new profile requests and have busted out the profiles for me saving me approximately 10 hours!!! Also, Jason Whalls, Myles Bukrim, Brian Gallo, and several others have lended a hand from time-to-time on the upkeep here. Thank you Iacopo Sorce for maintaining the Total Times through this recent Kart Playing Bang!

*- I NEED MORE HELP!!! ANY TAKERS????

As most of the pages go, It's sorta something I just gotta do on my own, cause after all, I created this beast, so I must deal with it, but seriously, I do have some pages that if any key people in Kart get some free time could perhaps submit some pieces of work to me for the following pages: Kart 64 History and Who's Best Hidden Page If you have any pages you'd like to create for the site, feel free, and I shall link them. Joel and Tom went through the trouble of making a kewl Battle Mode Site! Even though this is mostly a time trial site, I did include the links under the finals in case you are interested in sampling this page!

*- Jobs Open?

Soon, I shall be making room for new positions, but this will not occur til I am a more perminent figure online. If you would like to be a part of the Kart 64 Player's Updating Team, email me at KevinBoo69@aol.com and give me a description of something you would like to do! I shall be opening official jobs soon, but for now, I'm taking suggestions.

*- Brief Kart News

I'd just like to mention besides the fact that we have tons of new profiles, Kris Milo and Chris Hames have been moving up in the world and making a statement in the Sub-Elite Category! Much progress in the past weeks has been going on in this area, and this is very promising for karts future!

As for The Elites, pretty much Nothing has happened, except for an individual by the name of Sterling Neblett. This Goldeneye Time Trial World Champion and Wave Race Time Trial Top Player has something to prove now that he has seen my infamous tape!

Now To The Kings, there is much news! Matt Batastini Passes Horwitz and keeps roaring on to catch the others, cause currently, he's sorta in No-Karters Land! We Got Greg Ihnatenko that just hit a massive WR Tie in YV SC 3lap! Greg is looking forward to finally hitting a WR that you all won't say that it was luck, and I believe with 2.0 Phoney WR, this shall happen sooner than you think. Neil Marsden and Iacopo Sorce are battling near the top of the King Ladder. Many words have been exchanged, and now that Sorce is back, he's looking to avenge Marsdens Latest stuff, but as we all know, Marsden has yet to fail to take the challenge of any near competitor since his career has started!

Legends! Legends! Legends! The most notable move is of Mike Simmons! OMG, this guys was just barely a legend like when he won the POM, and now, he's battling for the top 4 Spots! Ya know, he shouldn't be allowed to view my tapes anymore =). Also, Myles Bukrim is making his move... He passes Whalls in Non's and hits 3rd in SC's, which with Players like Simmons, Bernier, and Whalls, this is no easy task. He is also now a Legend C easy! Booth has also made Legend C by a nose, and by virtue of matchups, he hangs on for dear life for his career low 6th in the Wolrd since March 1997!!! Quarter 2's MVP Jason Whalls has answered the question of many skeptics... Ok fine, me... Can Whalls after specializing in SC's so long take back his proclaimed BB 3lap Record back? Well, if you want the answer to that, Check the PhoneyWR! Penev has added a couple scores, and lastly, Gallo continues to pull away from the field and aimes to be overall champion for longer than Peter Ever Has!

*- SUBMIT NEWS

If you want me to add anything to the news, please send it, and give it a title and I will do so! And if your reading this Horwitz, I got all the old HTML tucked away, so if you need it back, I got it!

*- VERY SPECIAL THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we all owe our gratitude to a great man.... KRIS MILO!!!!! This guy has sent out countless copies of the Kart 64 Tape at his expense, that is making everyone the Karters they are currently! Make sure once you are done reading this news to pay him a visit on the Instant Messenger at Milo23Milo or Email him at Milo23Milo@aol.com and give your many thanx! Later Karters, and keep those PRs flying through the mail!

New Design Debuts
Hey everyone, this is Matt.  I decided the look was getting a bit old, so I decided to revamp the look of the page.  Kevin is still learning how to use it, so it may be a bit rocky at first.  With that, I will be around assisting him until he has it all down.  Along with the main page, I will also be developing other pages that could use a tune up.  Stay tuned.  I'm very

Most likely not, but I made an effort. There is just no way I can begin to tell you what I have updated... It is mad! I shall state that Michael Liem and Greg Ihnatenko have alot of improvments! Greg's aren't in orange, but I have all of Liems done that way. Other Top Players scored a few Records... Peter had 3 WRs, Penev One at least, as far PRs, Whalls on Banshee, Simmons on a couple, Sorce on 3, LPS 3, and a few others that I can't think of got PRS too... oh yes, Bernier bettered KTB 3lap then had to quit due to blister on finger. Ok the biggest news, is Players List is totally updated and revamped! More Touchups are needed, but the list is ready for public show, so WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Kevin's Update 315am Pacific Time

-Nothing Updated Yet-
Hopefully by the time you see this, It shall not be so, but I just got... UM... 80+ new times and a profile submission, so I shall get some sleep and work on a fresh mind! To give you the news, Welcome Newcomer Sam Querbes (30)! He shall be a new member very soon! Also, Elsaesser has some new WR's for ya in Royal and Frappe Lap! He also passed me on Mario Raceway! Greg has several new times (9), and so does Matt Batastini (21)! Got some corrections for Liem (10), also 2 times for Sabbagh, and well that's it... Phew, if you can say that is it to that!!

-Tape Proclamation!-
Very soon a NEWER tape will be released of my racing... I shall send out several copies... priority will go to need, how bad you beg me for it, and of course, if you can make copies and pass them along, that would also put you on top of the list... Here's a short list of people (not everyone I want tape to get here is included) I would like to get tapes out to... David Wonn, Louis-Philipe Sabbagh,Wesley Reppert,Tom Sherman,Lief Briel,Kristi Casey,Mike Klass,Mike Couch, Sterling Neblett! So where to start? I do plan on getting 3 copies of the new stuff soon, so anyone want the tape bad on this list, or is willing to make copies?

-Chatroom-
We are just missing eachother, but keep trying, were bound to hit a time we can all share in common... I've been offline more cause of trips to Corvalis, but those are over, so I will be here again.... oh ya, I know this is out of order, but I was playing Moo Moo today for 20 min, and that's all it took to get a Fastlap in the 24"Teens, so sub 24 here I GO!

Kevin's Update 1230am Pacific Time

-Just Today's Stuff-
For those concerned, I've been taking several trips up and down the state to support my old high school in basketball, so I've been away alot! Anyhow, I shall talk about additions first. Player's List due to be done soon, and after that, Myself and Reppert will bust out Total Times! After that, PhoneyWR, then who knows!

-Chatroom Very Busy... AWESOME!-
I was able to get like 7 people in my room in less than 10 minutes! Let's keep this up! Everytime you log in, just leave a window open and see what happens... say something, so everyone knows your there! I know the room isn't the best, but it's a room, so until we get better, this is the room. Heck, if this room gets popular enough, I will find a better room, or heck, if there are any takers, I'd be appreciative if someone found a new room too! Anyhow keep showing up! Official Kart 64 Player's Meeting TBA, but definitely try to be online 6pm/11pm pacific on Every Saturday!

-Kart Adjustments-
POW? Hmm.... I need to find out when Louis hit his first 7 PRs before I can decide, cause If he hit them all in March, then he gets it, if not, Whalls just edged out Sorce by like a few hours of play! Sorce got a WR that if it was a few hours earlier, Whalls would have lost. Ok to the Player News

Bernier has 4 PRS!!!! Yes, he decided to play again, but as far as a comeback, who knows, we will play it by ear.. btw, this does include 2 new WRs, so you may wanna check his profile! Also, Peter got one WR on SL Lap a few days back, and I now have it posted. Wesley Reppert gets a few new times, Whalls Attacks Banshee, Sorce on Royal, and Liem,Cetin, and several others on Mario Raceway!!!! Neil Marsden adds a couple, and everyone else I believe has some scattered PRs in the last couple days... Anyhow check out the changes! Later all!

March 10th, 1999
Kevin's Update 230am Pacific Time

-Finally...-
I've been working on it, and finally mostly everything is updated! Players List, and the POW/POM decision shall wait til at least tomorrow! For news, there is TONS! but I shall try to limit this to the most important.... Whalls Scored a WR in Wario Stadium that was sub 15! also, Sorce gets an NTSC WR in DK Jungle Parkway! Greg Ihnatenko sets a new WR in Royal SC 3lap! As far as Others, Louis is strong in his comeback, and Wesley Reppert continues to fly up the charts with even King/Top 10 times!!!! Also, he has turned in his SC times of the past, and some of them scrape the top 10 as well!!! This is no joke, see for yourself! Oh boy, what else... Liem sets many records, Cetin beats me in Frappe Snowland 3lap, Dave Hines has been doing great with improving weaknesses and such... Alex Penev Beats Gallo in a few courses, and Mike Simmons continues to set valuable PR's and takes back a WR from Booth in LR SC lap! Matt Horwitz is Taking a Trip to The Virgin Islands, so we won't hear from him for awhile, and as you know, Launspach is pretty much concluded that he's finished in Kart! Rumor has it that there may be more people that are ready to hang up the controller, but that doesn't mean you should! Just look at it as an oppurtunity to finally catch the people you've been chasing for all your career! And hey, you just could be responcible for bringing them back into the running, which I'm sure would be something to look back on!

-Now What?-
My main focuses is to finally get the revised player's list up.. this shall be done soon. Also, PAL history as soon as I get it from my brothers will get final revisions and put up.... Next after that, Maybe Total Times and Phoney WR restored... after that, I may deem my projects put to an end as far as revising or making new pages! #2 on my agenda is getting the meetings back now that the site hits are back! I want EVERYONE!! YES EVERYONE!! to start checking my Chatroom at 6pm and 11pm Pacific Time on Saturday Nights! Until someone can organize a better time for meetings, these shall be the times we go with! Many things to discuss..... Retirments, Page Plans, Position Openings, and Such and Such... Also I really want Myles Top 25 Completed in a serious way, but Since Myles may be making a return to basketball, this may be my final Restoration Project.... I have no idea! Perhaps I may start from the ground up!

-Just a Last Word Of Thanx-
Hey Everyone, I really appreciate everyone checking daily and even more even though I hadn't given much of an update lately... You are all #1 in my minds, and this shall always be! I must say though, I really will need some help soon to keep my site up, so if there is any volunteers that can contribute approximately 2 hours a week to updating that isn't already part of the team, I'm all ears.. yes, I mean the 8 Day veriety! Also, everytime your online, open up a Netscape or IE window in the chat room, and say that you have entered! On your exit, say your gone! Just keep checking back, and even get your friends to come chat, and heck, it doesn't even have to be Kart all the time really.... Let's just get alot of people in the Chat Room!! Also, I'm thinking of using a different Message Board or an alternative Message Board... Let me know your input on that! Also as always, any questions, concerns, or whatever, DON'T HESSITATE, EMAIL ME or post a message at the Board!!!!!! I shall answer your quesions if I can promptly! Thank you all for making this site the 4th most poplular Kart 64 Site Ever, and the fastest growing on in history!

Kevin's Update 444pm Pacific Time

-Player News-
Well I will save the normal news til midnight, but I just wanna tell you some news on other players you are asking about! Matt Horwitz is back, but is slowly getting his stuff back. Matt will return as a more complete player. Louis-Philipe Sabbagh is back... 7 PRS!!! More on this tomorrow. Also William Lacey has said he will play Kart again... lastly, this Instant Message From Andy Launspach:

LAUNDA: well i have given up on kart again
KevinBoo69: got nowhere?
LAUNDA: played for a good two hours today and didn't even come close
LAUNDA: and it wasn't fun at all
KevinBoo69: what were your laps like?
KevinBoo69: ya, that's the most important
KevinBoo69: I don't play as much as I used to as well, but still play when the drive is there
LAUNDA: understandable
LAUNDA: well, i just thought you would like to know that i didn't make any progress
KevinBoo69: and that you at least tried
LAUNDA: yes
KevinBoo69: It's tough to get it back once you've been away for so long
LAUNDA: i know
KevinBoo69: It's times like these, where you have to remember how it used to be when you were at your prime
LAUNDA: well, dinner calls, so i better get going
KevinBoo69: later Andy

Kevin's Update 330am Pacific Time

-Simmons And Booth Steal The Show!-
While it is true that alot of great efforts have been made in the last 2 days, Simmons and Booth have been the main source of improvements! POW contender Mike Simmons has set many great times, and the one that sticks out from the rest is his near.. SUB 1'20 in LR SC 3lap! I bet you didn't believe anyone was gonna do it... well Mike about did it, and it can be done with 3 good laps!

Well all I can say is that I had a great day! 7 PRs, all in the Special Cup and 4 of them with Toad! The one that took the cake was my Banshee Time! With only about 20-30 min of play, I took a driver I've rarely used on the track, and Beat Whalls' 3lap with it! Best of all, the No Shroom of mine are down to 35"55 as of now =)! I had a sub 1'46 time going into the 3rd lap, before I blunered it away... Ow well that's life, but with Rainbow and Yoshi Valley, it's all good!

-New Times In From Batastini-
I got word from him, and he has tons of new times from the 13th to current. You should check them out... Times like LR, TT, FS, CM and many others easily make the Top 25 in the world! On my next player's list update, I'm sure he'll be gaining positions and rank once more.

-Other Minor Contributors-
Michael Liem goes sub 1'54 on BC, and is appoaching the 1'47 one in Kalimari Desert as well. he also has gotten an extremely fastlap in the low 37's in the Castle. Jason Whalls continues to amaze, by beating my Wario, then improving his advantage over me in WS SC and YV SC to insure he keeps the status of NTSC's best SC Player! Wesley continues to add a couple PR's a day to his quest towards King! Dave Hines is trying to get under 1'40 on Sherbet! Also, Dave set an amazing 4"25 on DK SC lap! Just think he was in the high 4's not too long ago. Brian Gallo has been quiet, but not too quiet... WS WR even beats Penev latest converted time, and he did beat Booth at Sherbet 3lap... no longer a fluke, but that is good enough for him for now! Lastly, Alex Penev has scored WR's in YV Non-SC lap, and a few other places, with BIG PRS on other tracks as well... His YV Non-SC lap is still being reviewed by everyone, so it is not official quite yet!

February 25th, 1999
Kevin's Update 130am Pacific Time

-Myles Maham!-
Give this West Virginian a snow day, and what does he do?

LR SC lap 26"16 Yoshi
TT SC 1'33"78 and 29"52 Toad
WS SC lap 3"81*!!!!!!!!!! Yoshi
Rainbow SC 3'49"95 and 1'15"24 Yoshi
SL 1'39"96 and 32"62!!!!!!!!

Myles continues to be amazing, and in the next 2 days, us at Kart 64 Players estimates that he will make Kart Legend! Myles has just been amazing this week, but... has he earned POW???? HMMM I think he may have got ripped off again.... I shall give it some thought, and you can do the same too....

-Incognito with Ihnatenko-
Have no idea what that sounds like, but felt like saying it! Anyhow, Greg just beat the news deadline by once again bettering Kali without SC, and got scary-like close to my SC 3lap on Frappe. Greg has had a fine week, and is catching Louis-Philipe Sabbagh, and FAST! Did he beat Myles for POW???? Decision Later today!

-Liem Sub 10'50!-
Michael Liem took a look at his Total Times and knew what must be done. He busted out 4 new PR Laps like it was nothing, and a 3lap PR on Rainbow by over a second! He shaved a well-deserved half second off his lap totals on this day alone!

-Reppert PRS-
Wesley has been trying to break in the top 25 on LR Total, but this board is tough as nails to make! 1'41"85 does get him close, but he'll need to chop it a bit more to make it there... Royal did get a great chop as well! If I recall, his lap may have made the cut, and his 3lap is extremly close.

-Roth On Luigi-
Well Mark Roth has been playing Luigi as well, but has been struggling to get to where we are. He has made great strides with a 1'43"92 and 33"23, and continues don't the prosperous road. He does have some nice SC times, so we feel he will get there in time.

-Whalls continues to Rainbow-
Jason has now broke 5'01 on Rainbow Road without a jump Uey! Although he's not expecting to catch Gallo, he does feel confident he will field an extremely competitive time before all is done.

-News On Matt!!!!-
As you can tell, Matt left a message at the message board for the first time in quite awhile. He is Karting and doing ok. he says he's about 5 to 7 places from his current standing! To give you a small glympse, he is only high 33 lap on Frappe, but see's himself getting 32 before he goes public again! He did say he may give us more news tomorrow on his intentions to make a comeback.... Stay Tuned....

February 24th, 1999
Kevin's Update 1200am Pacific Time

-Elsaesser On Sherbet-
Peter Elsaesser just came up with one of his best times since his score on Yoshi Valley! He got a pair of 32"80's one shrooms and held on, if you want to call it that, to a low 33's lap, to score an easy sub 1'39, with his 1'38"76! This is indeed an amazing time, and he is definitely earning his keep on top of the NTSC Charts!

-New YV SC Lap In A Nutshell-
Well Folks, it is a valid SC now! First of all, Mike Simmons has went sub 8 on a lap with Toad on this SC! Also, Alex Penev has got the equivilent of 10 second laps and finally, I landed it once via shroom to record a 9"43, and it will be on tape for sake of replay! How does this NEW SC WORK? Well I shall give you my theory by what I have seen...

What you have to do is on the section after the bridge, you have to go into the grass with a slide, and somewhere from 5 kart lengths to right where the fence is, you have to fall off the canyon edge, while holding a slide of some sort. It seems you can pass the line while in the canyon, but there is very little room for error cause the finish line doesn't extend much further than the canyon's edge I believe, and in order to get this angle, you either have to do it the way I did, which is too slow cause you use a shroom, and it takes too long to fall, or do it the way Simmmons finally got it to work, with an open-ended MT and just passing by the canyon very low without scrapping! Basically, The Lap Changes Over If you are very close to the canyons edge just before the 2 black lines about 4 Kart Lengths apart, and some lighter color parts between those.... The spot it changes over, is a very light spot just before all of this! I am not certain, and neither is anyone else, but this is what I have gathered from Simmons, and by watching my replay frame-by-frame several times! If you want more details, let me know! Good Luck All!
-Whalls has a few PRS-
Jason Whalls has improved his Rainbow Non-SC Numbers as well to a very respectable level. Also, he has dropped his Moo Lap .01, and has posted some Versa-Kart times with various lightys in the past couple days. Perhaps with continual success, he can fight off Myles Bukrim's great runs....

-Greg Ihnatenko On Banshee-
Greg records yet even better marks on Banshee Boardwalk that move him up even further on the top 25 charts for that track! Greg continues to be tough! Also check out his other SC times he got a few days back, along with his Zero Seconds Validation!

-Liem On KD-
Michael Liem manages to round the field, with a .14 shave off his KD Lap! A definite place, and points gainer for veteran Liem, and with this, Michael is threating the equivilent of a sub 10'50"00 FASTLAP TOTAL TIME!

-Update Plans-
As I said before, the new member's pages are almost done! Also, other pages are due to get refined depending on others... The Player's List shall be updated tomorrow in it's entirety. Well that is all for now... I've gotten very little sleep, so it's time to catch up on it the best I can!

February 22nd, 1999
Kevin's Update 1201pms Pacific Time

-What's Changed?-
Lots of stuff I have moderized, and plan to moderize. Ok I am almost done with the New Members Pages... I just have a couple of those left. I think I'll even tell everyone my method of updating, so everyone can finally understand how I used to do it so fast. Ok for completed stuff as of late... New Profile for Sami Cetin, and the rest of the profiles are up to date as of now, and many of them are fully upgraded. Also, KART HISTORY is current, and so is the GOD STANDARDS! I still need to adjust the King Standards, cause they are a bit old.... If anyone has suggestions to what the King Standards Should Read, let me know...

Ok to more stuff that is getting worked on... The Phoney WR is due to make a comeback soon, and all the point indicators and a few others will arrive as soon as the pages for them are fully updated. Til then, they shall remain how they are.

-Time Trial News!-
Ok, to the news as of late! A player that could finally break Marsden's POW run is Greg Ihnatenko.... crud, did I actually spell that right without looking at my notes? Let me check.... It's a miracle! Ok, seriously, go IMMEDIATELY, and check out Greg's Profile! His New SC Times are great (one more even beats me), And I now have a proof pic of his ZERO SECOND time for all critics. He also made sure to hit a Glitch Lap the old way, so he can remain in the Lap Total Time Stats!

Next Of Course Is Marsden... He is now working On Horwitz, but is making a run at the SC Heavy Players as well. He has had alot of great Non-SC times. It is just amazing how fast this young talent has improved. His fastlaps remind me of stuff I did, or other strong lap racers back in the days. So when will Marsden have his first WR? Sources say, it will be DK Jungle Non-SC lap, cause he already has 37"09, but that will be a tough time to follow... All I know is someday, Marsden and Bukrim may just be battling for the championship!

Peter Elsaesser and Brian Gallo are continuing to set WRs. Elsaesser is also trying to get a LR WR for the first time in his career! This is not going over too well with Gallo and Booth, so this may not be an easy task, even though he's .01 from Tying the lap. Gallo, however, is making up tons of ground on the NTSC Championship by scoring new WR's in Frappe Lap, and Wario Stadium 3lap and Lap! Also, Gallo went an amazing and fully historical, Under 5 and 39 on Rainbow Road!!!! Truly a great milestone. I think the best one will be when someone finally breaks 2'30 on Toad's Turnpike... Booth hopes to be the first one to do so, but Peter stole that record as well, so who knows???

Dave Hines has got a few PR's as well. Although most of them are minor, they do affect the standings a bit, and make it harder for Marsden and Ihnatenko to catch him. He still has goes, so he will continue to play. Other players like Reppert, Sherman, and Roth are scoring Top Times on their way to the top! Repppert is almost looking like a POW contender, but I have a feeling that Greg and Neil have him there.

OK, To PAL contenders... Penev has been pretty silent, but has got back Royal and a few other Non-SC Records. Also, Penev has tryed to pull off the New Method on YV SC lap that Wonn discovered ages ago, and Simmons Recreated without luck. Give him time, cause he did that with one shroom! He didn't have the other 2 to slide across the grass to get the possibly faster lap! Now, to Liem and Cetin! These 2 are having a great battle for 3rd and 4th in the PAL Standings! They would be top 10 or 15 on my charts if I was to analyze them, and I may do so soon... Key victories for them is Liems over a second NTSC Equivilent cut on Turnpike 3lap, and Cetin's success in Yoshi Valley in General!

HEY! Says Sorce.... And he should say HEY! Sorce has had a decent to even threaten to say great week! He has killed his PR's on the Snow Tracks, and has sub 1'54 Bowser's Castle! Also, while Simmons Swims for his College, Sorce Flys Past Simmons cause of his outstanding Non-SC Times! Although he wanted to Stay with Bukrim, and failed, I can say this about Sorce... If Bernier doesn't come back, I expect Sorce to pass him as well in March along with Simmons!

Once again, Independant Thinker, Jason Whalls, almost gets unmentioned, and it would be a shame, cause he just set a WR that will demand a facility trip! Check out his Rainbow Road SC stuff, and you tell me what you think... that is if you can talk! Also, Jason has improved Frappe, and a few other key tracks as of late. Whalls does admit to struggling a bit, but now that he got that one big time, he's back to business as usual... Good Luck Jason, and continue to be the NO BS player we all know and respect!

crud, that leaves my one moment in the sun. I've set some lightweight versa times, but they are only good for a few points. My one bright spot is breaking the Simmons Tie on Turnpike SC Lap with Peach of all Characters with a 49"95! My plans include Improving All The Mushroom Cup Tracks again, and praying the help others gave me on other courses is enough! I have fixed up 2 controllers now! One doesn't have an L button and the other's Z button is very unaccessable! I don't need no stinkin Z button!!! I use DOWN C!!! Well I've updated enough now... I think I need to start playing again, so TOTTLE LU, or how ever the heck you spell that!

-Summary Of Events-
Ok, what has happened? TONS! I now have my computer back as many of you know, and I'm catching up the site, and upgrading several profiles. Also the statistical categories and tributes are either getting a facelift, or being finished. I encourage anyone that is envolved with the Kart 64 Team to take this time to get everything else caught up as well. If you are caught up, I have plenty of unfinished products for anyone that has alot of spare time to do. Ok, I shall tell you what has been done below, and what I plan on doing in the future...

-To The News-
Ok, I think I should do the news now. Lots has happened in the Karting World in the last little bit. Peter Elsaesser has taken back the #1 Seed in NTSC, and has a stronghold on it, but Rainbow Gallo decided to make history with a Sub 5 Rainbow Non-SC Time! Others are moving as well. I did have 2 lone PRS, one being my first SC WR. Other than that, everyone is getting VK Fever! All 8 Karts are being used by several active Karters, and pretty soon, Simmons will be having plenty of work to do. POW was a hard decision between 3 players. Myles Bukrim is on pace to beat out Bernier... he is just a couple wins away! Also, Mike Simmons had a decent week with an over 13 PR performace, but favorite, Neil Marsden has flew up the charts, and has now accumulated 8 King Level Times! So who gets it? I shall post the results later tonight, while I give it some thought, but feel free to email me with your input. Lastly but definitely not least, Wesley Reppert is doing awesome! He's one Elite standard away from being Elite! He is also 15-17 vs Popp, so I can expect him to take no prisoners!

-Like The Changes?-
I shall be making tons of changes to the site. If you have any input on what you would like to see, this is the time to tell me. Either email me or leave a message on the message board. Also, I plan on getting our weekly meetings going again soon. However, I will not bother trying unless most of you are willing to show up at a given time. Get together and tell me when you want the meeting date and time to be, and we shall do this! LATER ALL!

Lot's Of Revisions

-The Details-
I appoligize for the rust... I just got my computer back, so I'm busting out tons of new stuff. I have reinstated a few pages, and I have also finished others... The Who's Best Page is finished for now, and POW 1999 Is up! Also, the player's list is caught up as well. Profile Updates and other catchups are to follow on a daily basis. News on Karting Events will show up once more on demand. If enough people want me to write the news I will. I only have one rule though... If you update your own profile, I'll most likely get lazy and copy parts of your personal pages news or I shall hope to get news from you in an email... otherwise, I'll be hard pressed to get the news to match the action since I am so far behind on what's going on. Well this can all be decided later, I need to get to work and bust out more.... Later Everyone!

Touching Up Some Stuff

-The Details-
Ok, some stuff I decided to check on... To my suprise, there are tons of changes in the Ladder. The Players List reflects these changes up to current. I do need some help on approximate dates that the championship was tossed between Gallo and Elsaesser...

I'm back in the running with a slightly better KTB Lap of 26"31! So expect some action there. I will now see what I can do before I'm offline for awhile...

Just Dropping By To Keep you Posted

-Yes, I figure you all deserve at least that-
Just a reminder... goto Shadow 25 for all further Kart Related News. But always check back here at least bi-weekly cause I may deliver some news on how I'm doing and when I plan on getting back mainstream on the net again.

Ok, finally I have got a job. Yes, it's another fast food place... Arbys... The hours are sub-par so far, but it's a job, and I am doing just fine there. This basically means it will be maybe later in February that I finally get my computer working, but no guarrantees. Between this time, I shall be occasionally Karting, and trying other games for the N64 like Turok 2, and hopefully playing Zelda real soon all the way through.

All site updates by me and analysis will have to wait for awhile. Also, on my return, I have plans for the making of a new page. This shall be a project I will be working on for many months to come. Well that is all for now... As a last mention, I am no longer claiming to be NTSC's #1 player anymore. I have seeded myself 3rd and shall until I play up to the standards of the top 2 spots.

Matt's Response To Reaction To New Page

The new page has been launched and I would have to say that it is pretty much split.   I've been reading your suggestions and all are being taken into consideration.   You will see many changes in the next week.

THE REAL NEWS

Ok I think the best way to do all of this is by player. I will
briefly talk about each player that has been active in the last few days.

#1 Peter Elsaesser

Peter has went from a 1 or 2 PR person this week, to an explosive WR
machine. With one day left in the POW WEEK, he just may have stolen
POW from Jonathan Bernier, but Bernier played and hasn't reported his results after Booth game him his KD strat, so we will wait and see! PE has scored WRS on KTB,RRa,YV! He appears that he will also deliver on BC very very soon!

#2 Alex Penev

Alex has slipped down to 2nd place cause of what Peter's done as of
late. Alex hasn't had a bad week and has got a few top 5 times. He also had the WR in RRa lap til Peter took it back, and had his YV Lap WR reversed by a majority vote. Anyhow, more on that after we summarize the players.

#3 Brian Gallo

Brian has been very inactive since February, BUT!!! one .01 PR in
Banshee got him going, and a massively BIG WR in DK JUNGLE 3lap! However, Brian will be away from awhile due to things he must deal with outside the Kart Realm. We all wish a happy return to Gallo when the time comes.

#4 Kevin Booth

Nothing since 3/5, However, Booth did pick up the controller before
playing War 2 Tonight and set 4 Versa Kart times on Rainbow Road, with one near miss with a cruddy 2nd shroom 1'39"83 with Yoshi. The 4 Times Were with Peach and Toad, an d no PRS Yet! Booth will retire April 1st if he does not score a WR beforehand, so wish him the best of luck. The Magic 8 Ball says he won't retire, so let's hope the 8-Ball is right =)

#5 Jason Whalls

Jason has continued to get a few PRs here and there. He is super
close to Legend D in SC! Anyone besides Jason want to go on record on that possibility? Anyhow, he has slightly improved Royal 3lap, and just missed the fastlap earlier. He also beat the oldest NTSC Record (1/27/98) set by Kevin Booth on CM SC Lap! Lastly, he broke into the King A Realm in BC Fastlap with his sub 37"10 Preformace

#6 Jonathan Bernier

Folks, he is back, and he is still the MAN! LR shave, KB WR til Peter
took it back, KD shave, TT Great Shave, and finally good shave on FS... he is working on KD as of now, so watch out! Take note that last week he scored 2 WRs on Moo Moo Farm!

#7 Myles Bukrim

He is very cold in Kart, so he has switched to diddy. He may be back
in about a month, and will try to kart once every so often just in case...

#8 Michael Liem

Michael has been hitting the books hard this week, but has managed to
really put a dent in his previous Wario Stadium and Bowser's Castle Standards.

#10 Iacopo Sorce

Only 1 PR, but a nice one in BB 3lap! It did beat Simmons, and got
close to Liem, which is very strong in Special Cup. Sorce will be hitting the
books hard too as well, and will be shifting interests to Mario Party and
Zelda 64.

#12 Dave Hines

Dave has scored several minor improvements on many courses to maintain
position! His biggest one as of late is his Royal 3lap that beat #4 Seeded Kevin Booth!

#13 Louis-Philipe Sabbagh

Louis as well has had alot of minor shaves, but there are 2 shaves that
are anything but.. a NEW WR in MR SC 3lap and an NTSC WR in the fastlap, passing tons of people! Louis is looking scary folks, where will his next WR Be?

#14 Greg Ihnatenko

Greg had the privilege of scoring the most recent time on MR SC lap of
16"27! A .10 shave of the last one, and a major shave off what he had at weeks beginning... Hines made sure Greg didn't catch him here.. Alot of
Non-SC shaves of course took place, and he did take a good chunk out of DK SC 3lap!

#15 Steven Zwartjes

Steven is becoming scary once more. This once PAL World Champion has
looked extremely frisky by taking a one shroom to his fastest lap! He also
broke into the 1'53s, and appears to be on pace for 1'52s soon. Also, Steven has greatly improved weaknesses like Wario Stadium, which has kept him from King til now! Also since ending retirement he has flew past Launspach, Horwitz, Marsden and Wonn!

#18 Matt Horwitz

He just got passed by Zwartjes (15-17) He is planning a comeback of
his own, but is not quite to King Level Yet. Everyone wish him the best of
luck, he is as dedicated to the game if not more than even the most dedicated!

#20 Wesley Reppert

What Can I say? Just when I thought Batastini got the best of him,
Reppert gets hot and just sneaks by his rival! His Total Times are still
needing work, but his matchup play is spectacular as he took Batastini down to 13-19 vs him. Also, he has 10 wins on Launspach and at last report, may have beat LAUNDA standards on Toad's Turnpike! He took Booth's advice on the SSMT's on that track.

#21 Matt Batastini

Matt had a great week, taking nearly 8 seconds off of his 3lap Total
Times! Matt however needs a break, so there will be no new times from him til April 1st. WTG Matt and come back soon!

NR Sam Querbes and Ron Cooper

Please give welcome to our new members! These players have been
thirsting for the opportunity to me mentioned among the best, and here they are! I must say, I do see potential if they keep up their games.... I wish them the best of luck trying to reach the elite rank, that should be their first goal!

Ryan Mason Pending

Ryan Mason is due to validate a time that he has claimed on Wario Non-SC Lap! Once he does, he will be a new member and will actually be on the top 10 in the world on 2 of the 52 boards. What a feat for a new member!

DECISIONS

Ok everyone, there has been a new amendment to the Non-SC rule. If you
are wondering the current policy on Time Trials, I shall review them, cause
they have changed...

Non-SC

KTB W/Ramp Is OK
YV W/Jump Is OK

ALT

Royal W/Zero Glitch is an ALT selection
KTB Minus Tunnel is an ALT Selection
DK W/Jump is an alt selection
YV Minus Jump is an ALT Selection

SC

the 10 validated SC's Plus KD SC as done by Brian Gallo and Myles
Bukrim for time, and as David Wonn discovered and "Kronitor" claims to have recreated!

NOT NON-SC

YV W/Finish Line Across Is No Longer Considered "NORMAL RACING" This
has been opposed by Jason Whalls and a handful of Karters, but it is in the best interest of competition this was decided. At first, I didn't think
much of it cause I thought it didn't benefit much, but cause of the difficulty involved, it just didn't make sense to keep it identified as normal racing... also, it had the potential to even mess with the course time! If you wish for this decision to be reversed, please email This_Is_Rex@hotmail.com and KevinBoo69@aol.com. If you just want to voice your opinion, feel free to email KevinBoo69@aol.com and give some reasons behind how you feel.
